Interior of T Coffee's basement café in Seongsu

Where is T Coffee in Seongsu, and when is it open?

T Coffee is a café at 159 Achasan-ro, basement level 1, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, 488m from Exit 2 of Seongsu Station. It's open 09:00-20:00, last order 19:00.

I was in the busy part of Seongsu with a friend and we came here for coffee ☕️ Since it's tucked away from the main street in a quiet alley, it was relatively calm and nice.

Basement entrance in the same building as Pizza Slice

It's in the same building as Pizza Slice, but on basement level 1, so you just head downstairs. Feels like a great route — grab pizza, then come straight down for coffee.

T Coffee had plenty of desserts, not just coffee. Sand cookie 4.2

Pistachio cream choux and cheesecake on display

Pistachio cream choux 6.5 / Cheesecake 7.5. The desserts looked delicious but we held off since we were saving room for a meal ㅠㅠ

  • Coffee — Americano 5.5 / Cold brew 5.5 / Latte 6.2
  • Vanilla bean latte, almond latte, mint latte 7.0 (decaf, oat milk, soy milk +1.0)
  • Non-coffee — Matcha latte 7.3 / Vanilla chai tea 8.0 / Lemon ginger sparkling 7.5 / Lemon perilla mugwort tea, oolong tea 6.8

Why T Coffee's basement floor doesn't feel closed in

Even though the café is on the basement level, it didn't feel stuffy or dark — the natural light was great. Most Seongsu cafés seem to just have views of people walking by, so this calm feeling was really nice, healing even. A café should be somewhere to talk and rest, but these days the busy Seongsu strip is all waiting lines and noise... it can be tiring.

A sticker my friend brought because she thought it was cute haha, kind of unique and distinctive feel

Open, spacious 4-person table area at T Coffee

Seats where two friends can sit side by side and talk

T Coffee also has 4-person tables, so it seems fine even for a bigger group. It felt so open and had great vibes.

Side-by-side seating at T Coffee

The seats had different feels depending on where you sat, which was nice! We ended up sitting side by side like this, and it made talking easy.

Drinks served in glasses at the table

Staff brought the drinks over to us. The glasses were pretty too, and the atmosphere was great.

Wide basement space connected to Pizza Slice

It felt connected to the Pizza Slice space like this, so it looked really spacious haha. There were also extra chairs you could grab and use!

A cup of T Coffee's matcha latte

How the matcha latte and nutty drip coffee taste

T Coffee's matcha latte was also nutty and delicious. It had a rich, nutty matcha flavor that I loved.

T Coffee's floor design

The floor design was pretty too.

T Coffee's dedicated entrance

I didn't realize there was a separate entrance that leads directly into T Coffee! My friend and I were confused because we'd come in through the pizza place lol, but it seems like most people come in this way.

Calm interior view of T Coffee

I really loved how calm and quiet this café was. Seongsu usually gets so crowded and loud that it drains your energy ㅠ but here we could just relax and chat over coffee!

Divided table layout at T Coffee

The tables were also spacious with the spaces divided up, which made it easy to talk, and there was good distance from other guests!

The nutty coffee bean choice at T Coffee

For coffee, there was a choice between a nutty type and a more acidic type — I went with nutty, and it was clean and delicious! Properly got my coffee fix.

Wide red table good for laptop work

Laptop work, Wi-Fi and restrooms at T Coffee

The red table was wide, so quite a few people were working on laptops there, and with a mix of 4- and 2-person tables, you could sit without worrying about space.

Seating area with 2- and 4-person tables at T Coffee

Wi-Fi was convenient, the men's and women's restrooms were cleanly separated, and above all, it was a quiet, calm café — I loved that.
