Today I went with my husband to Geek Hair Wangsimni, a place known for doing men's hair well in Wangsimni~~ Men's hair grows out fast so they have to cut it often, which means the styling actually lasts a pretty short time haha ㅜㅜ My hair is long so I'm fine, but I really wonder how guys manage to go every month haha

Where is Geek Hair Wangsimni, and is there parking?

Geek Hair Wangsimni is at 9 Majo-ro 1ga-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea, 1st floor, and it's about a 5-minute walk from Wangsimni Station, so the access from the station is great! Plus there's parking, so it's fine to come by car too! Though I'd recommend calling ahead to check if there's an open spot!

We booked for the 10am opening slot but arrived earlier than expected, so the stylists were still getting ready~ Since we brought the car, we asked about parking first and found there's a lot behind the salon with space for about 3 cars, so we parked and waited in the car for a bit!

Inside the Geek Hair Wangsimni salon

The inside of Geek Hair Wangsimni has a stainless-steel feel, giving off a sleek yet clean impression! There were more seats and more space in the back than I expected, so it seemed like a comfortable place to use! Even though we came right at opening time, quite a lot of customers showed up, so I thought — this must be a popular salon haha

Hair before the cut: the consultation with designer Taekyung

This is my husband's hair before the service~ The fringe had gotten really long and his ears were already covered, giving a stuffy feeling. Plus there was a wedding congratulatory song this week, so it was a schedule that needed a bit more care!

First, designer Taekyung took charge of the styling! He asked what style my husband wanted first, then recommended and proceeded with a style to match. The style my husband ended up going with is called a see-through dandy cut!

How the down perm and see-through dandy cut were done

First he did the down perm. He was meticulous and careful with it~ It looked like the hair was going to turn out pretty, so I was excited!

After the down perm, it definitely calmed down a lot!! Even before the cut, it already felt tidy!

After it was fully dried, he moved on to the cut to bring out the see-through dandy cut look! Taekyung looked it over carefully as he worked, and it kept getting prettier the more he cut. If you cut the fringe too much or leave too much, it ends up looking off, but he got the length just right in a really pretty way!

Wow, the hair turned out so pretty that both my husband and I were so satisfied! Dandy just like the name says lol The neck looked much longer too, and it looked great!👍

From the side to the back, a flawless cut haha It felt perfectly clean. He had the wedding congratulatory song the very next day after this haircut, and I was so relieved it turned out this pretty!!
