Duck restaurant in Gyesu-dong, Siheung with two grills: Grill Duck
In short
Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue is a duck grill specialist in Gyesu-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi, right next to Okgil-dong in Bucheon. After a drive around Geobukseom, the writer ordered the half-and-half duck (fresh duck plus marinated duck) for 54,000 won, and it arrived on two separate grills so the marinated duck and the duck loin cooked at the same time, alongside a complimentary duck soup and self-bar side dishes. Hey there 👋 It's Kkuldum :) After a drive around Siheung's Geobukseom Island, I stopped by Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue for a light dinner.
[Hours 11:00 ~ 22:00] (weekday break time 15:00 - 16:30)
Where is Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue, and is there parking?
Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue sits right on the border of Bucheon and Siheung — technically Gyesu-dong, but right next to Bucheon's Okgil-dong. It's a bit more convenient to visit by car, and the parking lot is really spacious.

There's a huge lot right behind the restaurant, spacious and comfortable enough for even a beginner driver to park easily — it reminded me of the parking lots at charcoal galbi places I used to go to as a kid.

Inside Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue: dining hall and menu prices
The inside is just as spacious as the parking lot — tons of tables and even group seating, so it seemed like a great spot for work dinners or gatherings. The restrooms are separated by gender and were really clean too, which was a nice bonus.
Raw duck, marinated grilled duck, duck bulgogi, half-and-half duck, duck soup, duck dori, Korean pork belly barbecue, Korean pork chewy shoulder barbecue, duck barbecue, Korean female pig belly, Korean female pig shoulder, duck soup hot pot, duck rice bowl, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, cold buckwheat noodles, spicy buckwheat noodles, chive fried rice, ramyeon, udon, potatoes, minari (water dropwort), and more.

We ordered the half-and-half duck (raw duck + marinated duck) for ₩54,000 🐷 There were also affordable couple set menus and Korean pork barbecue sets, plus plenty of rice and noodle dishes that would work well for lunch too.

Side dishes and the self-bar
They brought out lettuce and onion salad, pickled peppers, pickled radish, pickled minari (I think?), ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, lettuce, and perilla leaves as basic sides. Every table had soju glasses, beer glasses, and paper cups ready — really convenient. I figured ordering the half-and-half meant everything would be grilled together, but they actually used two separate grills!

Small plates, green onion kimchi, napa cabbage kimchi, pickled radish, onion and lettuce salad, peppers, lettuce, perilla leaves, pickled peppers, ssamjang, garlic, sesame oil salt, mustard, chogochujang (vinegared chili sauce) — all the sauces were at the self-bar too. Both the napa cabbage kimchi and green onion kimchi were perfectly fermented and so refreshing. Then out came the half-and-half duck (raw duck + marinated duck) for ₩54,000.

It really did come out as two separate halves, and before the grill even heated up, they put the marinated duck on first haha.

Potatoes, carrots, green onions, potatoes (again), perilla leaves, and chives came out generously too, and you could grab extra marinated duck sauce from the self-bar, which was a nice touch.
The raw duck came out with rice cakes and potatoes, and it looked like it was lightly seasoned with salt already.

And the complimentary duck soup that came out was so clean and clear that I felt like I could finish a whole bowl of rice with it.

Grilling marinated duck and duck loin on two grills at once
I personally prefer marinated duck over duck loin, and the smell of the seasoning here was exactly the flavor I'd been looking for — I got excited...!

The duck loin was grilled uniquely, like pork belly, right on the pan, and it genuinely smelled like pork belly, which made me even more excited. The hood right above the duck loin grill worked really well, so no smell clung to our clothes and there was no smoke — very comfortable to grill.

Using two grills at once made me feel like some kind of powerful person, so happy haha. But the marinated duck spatters quite a bit, so you have to keep the heat lower and flip it often to reduce the splattering.

The glossy, juicy look of the marinated duck was exactly my style, so I ordered a somaek (beer-soju cocktail) before I'd even taken a bite...^^

How does the marinated duck taste, and how spicy is it?
The marinated duck sauce was exactly the flavor I'd been searching for — so delicious and refreshing. It's on the spicier side though, so it might be too much for kids.

My designated driver stuck to water only... but he worked hard as my somaek-mixing machine instead, thanks bear, it was good.

Tried the duck grilled well like pork belly
It had a light salt seasoning, so it really felt like eating grilled pork belly — moist and tender.

It paired well with the thick pickled radish, and the perilla leaves had a nice fragrance.

The marinated duck sauce was so good ㅜㅜ, seriously packed with umami! And you can't skip the mustard pairing with duck haha.
The duck itself was already seasoned, so it tasted savory even without dipping in anything — my driver was Team Raw Duck, and I was Team Marinated Duck.

For the leftover raw duck, you can grab marinated duck sauce from the self-bar and drizzle it on while cooking to turn it into marinated duck yourself haha.

Who is Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue best for?
This is a great duck restaurant near Starfield Bucheon in Siheung, perfect if you're looking for good duck loin or marinated duck as part of a driving course, and it'd be nice to bring parents here too.
The restaurant is really spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly too, which made it even better — even the restrooms were spotless haha. The parking lot is huge, so it's really convenient to visit by car! Thanks for the meal 🙏🏻
