Cranberry jambon-beurre solo lunch at a Jamsil sandwich shop, Seoul

An honest review of the cranberry jambon-beurre at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch. 🥪 These days I find myself reaching for a light lunch rather than a heavy one, so I stopped by Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, across from Jamsil Jangmi Shopping Center.

Where is Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch? Hours and parking

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is located at 10 Olympic-ro 35ga-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, 103, inside the Jamsil Dashaeng Starpark commercial building, and is open daily from 09:00 to 20:00. It's 420m from Jamsil Station Exit 9, next to Hyanggun Tower.

It's also close to Olympic Park and Jamsil Hangang Park, so it's a handy spot to grab takeout if you're looking for picnic food for either park.

Window seats for solo dining and the feel of the shop

Walking into Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, the space is small but has large floor-to-ceiling windows, so during the day the natural light poured in and made the whole place feel bright.

With the wood-toned interior, there are seats by the window facing outside, which made it a decent spot for solo dining in Jamsil, just like I was doing.

Cut into 2 or 3? Choosing your sandwich cut

When ordering a sandwich at Town Sandwich, you can choose either the 2-cut or 3-cut option. I went with 3-cut for easier eating. Cut into thirds, the fillings were more visible and each piece was easier to bite into.

Baguette sandwiches, not sliced bread

Town Sandwich isn't your typical sliced-bread sandwich shop. Its big signature is the baguette — crispy outside, soft inside. That said, baguettes tend to get chewier over time, so if you can't eat it right away, I'd recommend warming it up again before eating!

How does the new cranberry jambon-beurre (8,800 won) taste?

The menu I picked was the cranberry jambon-beurre at ₩8,800. It's a new item at Town Sandwich made with sweet cranberry butter, smoked ham and rocket. I added cheese, rocket and tomato. 🍅

The green rocket was packed generously between the layers of ham, and with tomato and cheese added, the colors were vibrant too. The base amount of rocket was already so generous that you might not even need to add extra!

Between the salty smoked ham, the cranberry butter added a subtle sweetness, and with the aroma of rocket and the fresh tang of tomato, it never felt greasy.

Dippable sweet pumpkin soup for 4,800 won

The dippable pumpkin soup is ₩4,800 and comes with the soup plus two pieces of baguette. 🎃

The pumpkin soup had a thicker, more purée-like texture than a typical soup — kind of like baby food pumpkin purée. It wasn't sweet at all, actually, just a very subtle pumpkin aroma. Don't expect a rich, sweet pumpkin soup — it's more for a light bite if the sandwich alone leaves you wanting a little more!

You're meant to dip the baguette pieces into the soup, but I was already full just from the sandwich, so I couldn't even get to the bread pieces... haha.

Coffee menu, group orders and ordering ahead

They also have coffee made with Town Sandwich's own house blend, Town Blend, and apparently group sandwich orders are possible too. You can pre-order through Naver Reservations or for takeout and pick it up right away.
