Daylit sunken basement slice pizza in Seongsu: Pizza Slice Seoul

I was craving good pizza in Seongsu and went looking around, and that's how I ended up here! Pizza Slice Seoul!

There are already so many great spots in Seongsu these days, but what drew me to this one was that instead of ordering a whole pizza, you can pick whichever flavors you want by the slice 😊

The entrance itself is so stylish! You head down the stairs you see in the photo to reach the entrance.

Inside Pizza Slice Seoul: open kitchen and widely spaced tables

Pizza Slice Seoul is apparently an original slice-pizza brand that started in Tokyo! Walking in, I could see the pizzas being prepped at the open kitchen, and the interior felt spacious and relaxed, so it was comfortable to eat here. The gap between tables was generous too, which I really appreciated 👍❤️

We ordered one slice of Today's Slice, one jalapeño & cream cheese slice, buffalo wings, and two drinks! The pizza slices were so huge that one each would have been plenty... (for light eaters, at least)

Table sauces and the sunken basement seating in Seongsu

Every table had ketchup, Tabasco, oregano, pepper, and red pepper flakes! With so many sauces to play with, you could turn one pizza flavor into several. Even though the restaurant is in the basement, the sunken structure means there are windows, so it never felt dark at all.

How Today's Slice, the jalapeño and cream cheese slice and buffalo wings tasted

Our order arrived! Part of the fun of Today's Slice is not knowing which pizza it'll be each day! The pizza came out warm, and the crust had a chewy yet crisp texture I liked, with the cheese and toppings working well together 👍

Since I love spicy food, I ordered the jalapeño & cream cheese slice! The jalapeño's kick combined with the creamy cream cheese worked better than I expected! It added spice to what could otherwise be a rich, heavy pizza, and honestly I just kept reaching for more 😊

The buffalo wings we ordered alongside the pizza made a great side too! Eating the wings together with the pizza rather than just pizza alone made the meal feel more filling and satisfying — a perfect full meal haha.

The pizzas are laid out right at the ordering counter like this, so it seemed like they reheat it right away as soon as you order!

Being able to see the pizzas with my own eyes and pick what I wanted was great 💛 And above all, being able to order individual slices instead of a whole pie seems like the biggest advantage of Pizza Slice Seoul! It'd be great for a group who each want to pick their own flavor and share, and also for people like me who want to compare two flavors side by side.

After finishing up and heading toward the bussing station, there was even a little handwashing sink there! + Hand soap was, of course, provided too.
