Boasting the largest scale in Euljiro, Schedule Osteria catches your eye the moment you walk in with its high ceilings and stylish interior. It really felt like stepping into a restaurant in Europe — trendy and refined at the same time. With the spacious layout and striking sculptures throughout, I thought it would be the perfect spot for a Jonggak pasta blind date, a year-end gathering, or a wedding invitation meetup — any special occasion, really.

The three dishes we ordered at Schedule Osteria

That day, we ordered and enjoyed three dishes: the Caesar salad, the spicy shrimp bisque risotto, and the truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle.

1. Caesar salad: slicing a whole head of romaine at the table

The first dish to arrive was the Caesar salad, served with a whole head of romaine that we each cut ourselves with a knife — surprisingly fun. My friend even exclaimed, 'This sauce is the real deal, a proper Caesar dressing!' — the balance in the sauce was that good.

It wasn't heavy or overpowering at all, and paired perfectly with the crisp, fresh romaine to whet the appetite.

2. Spicy shrimp bisque risotto: firm, springy rice

Next up was the spicy shrimp bisque risotto, topped with big, plump shrimp that made a great first impression visually.

Above all, every grain of rice in the risotto had that chewy, springy bite that made the texture really satisfying. It struck the right balance between spicy and smooth, so it never felt heavy or overly spicy, and I could enjoy it all the way to the last bite.

3. Truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle: the tableside cheese wheel performance

Schedule Osteria's signature and the highlight of the meal! They wheeled a massive cheese wheel over to our table on a cart and put on a whole performance in front of us — scraping out the cheese, lighting it, and cooking the pasta right there.

Just looking at it, I worried it might be way too rich, but since it's a deep, clean natural cheese rather than anything artificial-tasting, it turned out to have almost no greasiness at all. On top of that, the fresh pasta — made daily with Italian Caputo Sacco Rosso flour — went perfectly with the sauce, and the black truffle slices generously showered on top filled my mouth with flavor. Absolutely the best.
