The nutty butter smell hit my nose from outside, so my steps naturally sped up haha. You can tell there is a bakery here even from far away.

A bread display that gets harder to choose from
The cozy little space was packed! with! delicious-looking breads. The warm atmosphere fills the whole shop 🎵 I somehow felt like I could eat every single bread here ,,

Starting with the refrigerated section, everything looked so good that I agonized over what to get.

That display is enough to make your eyes go wide, right? From baked treats and crisp-looking baguettes to insanely good financiers and salt breads, the lineup is glorious. It is perfect for a bakery crawl.

How did every bread look so glossy and tempting? I wanted to put them all on my tray ㅠ This is already a popular Uijeongbu bakery, and there were so many varied, distinctive menu items.

Financiers and salt breads are much cheaper when you buy a package! In particular, there is a package of 4 salt breads for ₩9,900—what amazing value ㅠ As a salt-bread lover, I could not help but leap up and applaud.

What I packed up and how it tasted
- Wax-coated salt bread (fresh peach yogurt) ₩8,500
- Castella salt bread ₩4,200
- Fig financier ₩3,200
- Double chocolate baguette ₩6,500
I ordered quite a variety, right?

A very satisfying armful of packed treats, done 🍀 To give you the conclusion first, everything was so good that I thought, yep, the main branch really is the main branch.

First, the double chocolate baguette: the moment I took a bite, the chocolate cream inside filled my mouth with moist richness. The sweetness came rushing in, my fatigue vanished, and I was completely on a sugar high.

My favorite: castella salt bread
Of all these delicious breads, my absolute favorite was the castella salt bread! This is known as a great Uijeongbu spot for salt bread, so the salt bread was delicious to begin with, but its base was baked almost as if fried in butter until super crisp, then set cool and firm together with the cream, almost like wax? You know what I mean?; That explanation may sound odd, but it is seriously so good. With every bite, that deep salty-butter flavor rises up and clings to your tongue. Byway Bakers is worth returning to for this alone.

Fresh peach yogurt wax-coated salt bread
You cannot leave out a trendy item these days, right? I finally tried the fresh peach yogurt wax-coated salt bread. Honestly, surprisingly(?), I had not been that interested in wax-coated breads, but there is such satisfaction in crunching through the chocolate coating around the outside with your teeth.

The tangy peach yogurt cream inside and the white chocolate coating are an amazing combination. They say there is a whole peach inside; I had wondered, can a peach salt bread really be good? It is funny that I doubted it, because the bread, yogurt cream, chocolate, and peach were truly harmonious 🤌 This dangerously addictive Uijeongbu salt-bread spot makes me want to collect a stamp every time I see it ,,
