Wonju pork BBQ restaurant with five aged cuts: Hanmaeum Jeongyuk

How big is the dining hall?

The interior is so spacious and pleasant that it's perfect for group gatherings, company dinners, or family meals out. I could enjoy my meal comfortably in an open space with no sense of crowding.

Does Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang have a playroom for kids?

This is the biggest perk for parents with kids! There's a large, clean playroom inside the restaurant where children can play safely, so kids can have fun while the adults relax and enjoy their meat in peace.

There's a dedicated aging fridge on one side of the restaurant where the meat is professionally aged, and being able to see it with my own eyes gave me confidence in the place.

The self-serve corner, where you can help yourself to a variety of fresh side dishes, was kept very clean and was really convenient to use.

They even have soft-serve ice cream ready for dessert~~

Hair ties, floss, and alcohol wipes were all neatly set out too, which made it feel like a place that really cares about cleanliness~

What comes with the aged pork half-platter 500g set?

The basic side dishes at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Wonju Enterprise City Branch are excellent! Every single side dish was delicious~

Seasoned crab, mustard leaf kimchi, scallion kimchi! Sides that go perfectly with meat~

A basic doenjang stew (fermented soybean paste stew) comes out too~

I thought it was just a scallion salad, but jjolmyeon (chewy noodles) were hiding underneath~ hehe haha, it's even tastier with the noodles, love it~

The menu we ordered was the aged pork half-platter (500g) set, letting us enjoy various cuts all at once! It comes generously loaded with pork belly, ogyeopsal, neck meat, jowl meat, and gabrisal.

Yum yum, they grilled the jowl meat and gabrisal first~

First up was the jowl meat dipped in salt~ crazy good, right!! That signature texture — a bit crisp yet chewy — combined with the savory flavor filling my mouth was pure art.

Even the free doenjang stew wasn't a throwaway version — it was packed with ingredients and so delicious~

Gabrisal is a cut where soft and chewy textures coexist — clean-tasting yet full of umami, with an addictive quality that kept my chopsticks coming back. Eating it with the minari (water dropwort) that came alongside was so good~

Next up, pork belly, yum yum

A textbook pork belly — crispy outside, juicy inside. Being aged meat, it was full of juices and the savory flavor was outstanding.

Here comes the neck meat~

Even though it's cut thick, there was zero dryness — it was incredibly tender! You could taste a clean yet deep juiciness that parents would love too.

Once with mustard leaf kimchi, once with pickled onions, once with vegetables — all the side dishes were delicious and paired so well with the meat that I was busy trying every combination~

Why does the jjolmyeon scallion kimchi go so well with the meat, haha. Yum yum, I ate it with the wild garlic leaves from the self-serve corner too, haha. Combining the side dishes one by one, the meat disappeared in no time~

Personally, the neck meat was my favorite~
