Seongsu café for heart latte art and two sand cookies: T Coffee

In short

T Coffee is a quiet, wood-toned dessert café on basement level 1 of a building on Achasan-ro, near Seongsu Station in Seongdong, Seoul. On this visit the order at T Coffee was two sand cookies, a vanilla latte, and a hot café latte poured with heart latte art, and the cream filling between the cookies was not too sweet, so it went well with the lattes. Set just off Seongsu's busiest streets, T Coffee is an easy place for quiet solo work or a low-key meeting.

The weather's been so nice lately, and wandering the alleys of Seongsu looking for a good café to settle into has become one of my little joys. Seongsu is full of hot spots that are always crowded, though, so it's surprisingly hard to find somewhere relaxed enough for laptop work or reading.

Then, quite by chance, I found a really calm, cozy hidden gem near Seongsu Station! It's called T Coffee (티 커피) — the atmosphere, the sweet desserts, and the smooth latte combo were all perfect, so I wanted to share it with you all.

Inside T Coffee: a calm, wood-toned basement café in Seongsu

The moment I stepped inside T Coffee, the first thing I felt was the warmth and tidiness of natural wood. The simple wood-toned interior and calm lighting worked together beautifully, and I just felt at ease.

A lot of Seongsu cafés these days have music blaring too loud or tables squeezed too close together, so it's crowded and noisy. T Coffee, though, had this quiet, uncrowded air I really appreciated. Thanks to the clean, understated space, it's a great environment for solo café study, work, or reading.

It's also a perfect place for people working nearby to have a quiet meeting or just take a break with a cup of tea. If you're looking for a 'quiet café in Seongsu,' this is one to remember!

What we ordered at T Coffee: two sand cookies, a vanilla latte and a hot café latte

That day at T Coffee we ordered two sweet sand cookies, a smooth vanilla latte, and a warm café latte topped with pretty latte art. We tried them all together to get the full feel of T Coffee's signature vibe!

1. Two sand cookies with rich chocolate flavor 🍫🍪

The sand cookies, plated so prettily, won me over on looks alone! Between the crisp yet tender cookie layers was a generous, sweet, nutty cream filling.

One bite and this pleasant, not-too-sweet flavor spread through my mouth. The balance between the smooth cream and the nutty butter/chocolate flavor was excellent — the perfect dessert to eat alongside a latte.

2. The vanilla latte: gently sweet, not heavy ☕

T Coffee's vanilla latte had a subtle, deep vanilla aroma that spread through the cup in a really elegant way. The soft texture of the milk and the nuttiness of the espresso blended together without being too sweet, so I drank it happily down to the last sip. It's the kind of sweetness that instantly lifts your mood when you're tired.

3. The hot café latte with heart latte art ☕

The hot café latte came with a lovely heart drawn on top of the mug, so it was a pleasure for the eyes even before the first sip! The ratio of nutty coffee bean aroma to warm steamed milk was perfect, staying smooth from the first sip to the last.
