Pangyo brunch restaurant with creamy meatballs: Andover

Andover in Pangyo’s Baekhyeon-dong Café Street

The address is 10-7 Pangyo Yeok-ro 10beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 960 m from Exit 1 of Sunae Station on the Suin–Bundang Line. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 to 22:00, with a weekday break from 15:00 to 17:00; there is no break on weekends. It is regularly closed on Mondays.

Parking is available, including one free hour when using the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street public parking lot, and street parking is possible too. Paid corkage and high chairs are available, and takeout, reservations, and delivery are possible. Pets are welcome on terrace seats only, and the restaurant accepts local currency and ZeroPay.

What are the terrace seats and interior like?

I visited Andover, a great Western-food spot in Baekhyeon-dong Café Street, for Sunday brunch. There were terrace seats that were just right for weather like this 🤍 Dogs are welcome, but only on the terrace 🐾

The black, white, and wood tones came together so nicely, making the interior feel clean yet warm, and the daytime light was gorgeous too .ᐟ The fresh flowers on every table were pretty, right? The tables were especially well spaced, so it seemed like a nice place to chat comfortably with your group.

Everything is set out on the table, but there is also a self-service corner for extra side plates, water, cutlery, and more.

I liked even more that all of Andover’s food, including the sauces, is handmade in the restaurant ┈♡ﾞ They also sell semi-prepared items such as sauces, pickles, jambon, and meatballs, and they said an online shop is in the works.

Grapefruit soda and cold basil pasta

Galvanina soda was a drink I had never seen before. It was not sweet, and the grapefruit’s naturally bitter flavor really came through, so I totally recommend it if you love grapefruit like I do (,,• ֊ •,,)♡ They also have coffee, so you can take care of your meal and coffee all at once ☕️

After debating among the many menu items, I chose the cold pasta as something like a substitute for salad (a total success). It may not look like it in the photo, but the burrata was the biggest one I’ve ever seen, haha.

Fresh burrata, fresh basil pesto, and a squeeze of lemon juice made for such a fresh combination—perfect for waking up the appetite! The tangy tomato marinade was especially delicious and went so well with the pasta too⑉♥

Cream meatballs and lasagna

You can choose cream or tomato sauce for the meatballs. My mom, who came with me, said that meatballs can easily have an off smell, but these did not at all and paired well with the sauce. She enjoyed them too.

The golden-brown lasagna with a hearty meat ragù had that satisfying richness of lasagna without being overly salty, making it a delicious dish.

Maybe because we chose one cream-, tomato-, and basil-based dish each, the combination of dishes was just perfect ꒰˶ - ᵜ -꒱ !!

On the way out, I spotted actor Ryu Seung-ryong’s autograph .ᐟ I loved everything about Andover, from the atmosphere to the thoughtfully made food, and I would love to visit again.
