Bundang brunch café with a rich ragu Grandma's Risotto: Meolmeol
In short
Meolmeol Pangyo is a brunch café on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. Unlike the homey, house-like Moran branch visited a few years ago, Meolmeol Pangyo stands out with a crisp Greece-inspired blue exterior, and a weekend evening visit booked through Naver Reservation brought truffle baby potato fries, raspberry endive salad and Grandma's Risotto to the table. The ragu sauce was rich enough to order Grandma's Risotto again after the Moran branch, so Meolmeol Pangyo is an easy pick for brunch in Pangyo or Bundang.

Why we picked Meolmeol Pangyo for brunch
Meolmeol Pangyo is a brunch café on the Baekhyeon-dong café street. A few years ago I visited the Meolmeol Moran branch, and the warm, homey atmosphere left a strong impression on me.
When I found out there was a Meolmeol in Pangyo too, I looked it up — similar menu, but bigger, and this one had a fresher, brighter feel. My friend and I happened to be meeting up in Pangyo that weekend, so we settled on Meolmeol Pangyo right on the café street.

You can't park in front of the store or other shops 🚫 The Baekhyeon-dong public parking lot lets you register for 1 hour free, then it's ₩400 per 30 minutes, ₩200 per 10 minutes, max ₩6,000 a day, so it was affordable to use.
Weekend evening visit: why a reservation is essential
You can reserve conveniently through Naver Reservation. There's a ₩20,000 deposit, but it gets refunded to your payment method after your visit.
We went on a weekend evening and heard there'd be a wait, so we reserved in advance through Naver. Walk-in waits are pretty long too, so I'd recommend a mobile reservation before you arrive 👍

The cool blue exterior on Baekhyeon-dong café street
Meolmeol Pangyo sits on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, and it has a refreshing blue color that reminds me of Greece.

A standing sign out front with Meolmeol's own stylish illustration

Standing in front of the store, the wood tones mixed with yellow and blue made the exterior and interior really pretty — pure Nordic vibes. Since pets are allowed inside, it also looks like a great spot to walk your dog nearby and then grab brunch.

How the interior differs from the Meolmeol Moran branch
The inside of Meolmeol Pangyo felt refreshing and bright, a different vibe from the Meolmeol Moran branch.

This decoration somehow reminded me of the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter haha

The space was really spacious, with outdoor terrace seating in addition to indoor tables — now that the weather's cooled down, the terrace seats would be great too. Seems like a good spot for people with dogs to sit as well.

Even the little details, down to the lemon-orange water, showed off thoughtful interior design 🧡 Just being there already felt healing.

Whoever did the interior design clearly has serious designer sensibility — every little prop feels carefully considered.

This space was so pretty too. They have baby chairs and infant tableware ready, so it looks great for visiting with kids as well.

The lighting was soft and each table had pretty fresh flowers on it, giving the whole place a fresh, bright mood..!

How ordering works and what we ordered
At Meolmeol Pangyo you order via the table QR code, and water, tissues, and cutlery are all self-service at the self-bar.

Here's how the main menu is laid out. We ordered the signature truffle baby potato fries, Grandma's Lasagna, and raspberry endive salad.

Meolmeol's pretty receipt 💛

Even with a lot of customers, the food came out fast, which I really appreciated. The lasagna took a bit longer, but the endive salad and truffle baby potato fries came out pretty quickly after ordering.
The food looked as pretty as the store's interior..><
Raspberry endive salad
Meolmeol Pangyo's raspberry endive salad (샐러드) has raspberry yogurt topped with endive, peach, and jamón — the sweet peach and endive (I didn't know it before, but that mini cabbage-looking thing is endive) went really well with the yogurt and perked up the appetite perfectly. It was just the right refreshing salad for brunch.

Great combo, really good haha 😀
Truffle baby potato fries
The truffle baby potato fries (트러플 알감자튀김) were crispy outside and soft inside, and thanks to the special truffle cream sauce, my hand kept reaching for more.

The truffle sauce was sweet yet paired perfectly with the potatoes — now I get why it's Meolmeol's best menu item. This is definitely one I'll order again next time :)
Grandma's Risotto and its rich ragu sauce
Finally, the highly anticipated Grandma's Risotto! I'd already had Grandma's Risotto at the Meolmeol Moran branch, and I remembered how the thick, rich ragu sauce paired so well with the cheese and bread that I ordered it again.

It's also delicious eaten with bread like this.

Scraped the bowl clean till the very last bite — Grandma's Risotto was that good!
Worth it if you're choosing brunch in Pangyo or Bundang?
The ingredients tasted fresh, and I heard they make each sauce from scratch, so I get why influencers keep coming back here. If you're deciding on brunch in Pangyo or Bundang, I strongly recommend Meolmeol Pangyo! Next time I'm going back for Grandma's Lasagna and the truffle baby potato fries again 😊
