Spicy Hanwoo intestine bone grill for 2 in Gimhae: Ppyeodae Itneun
In short
Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch is a gamjatang (pork bone stew) and haejangguk (hangover soup) restaurant on the restaurant strip along Yulha-7-ro in Gimhae. Two diners ordered the small Hanwoo beef intestine bone grill in the spicy version, added glass noodles and jorangi tteok (small rice cakes) from the self-serve bar, and finished with a rice pot for the baby and self-made fried rice. The spicy level sits around Shin Ramyun heat and the intestine pieces are huge, so Ppyeodae Itneun is worth it if the bone grill is what you came for.

Where is Ppyeodae Itneun in Gimhae Yulha, and is there parking?
Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch sits on the first floor of 40 Yulha-7-ro, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do — right on the restaurant-packed alley in Yulha. It's open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 with last order at 21:30, and you can park on the street behind the shop.

This Gimhae Yulha favorite sits on that same restaurant alley and opens from 8am, which makes it great for breakfast too — not many places open that early these days, so it's a huge plus!! That said, we visited in the evening haha. Parking is available on the street behind the store.

Inside Ppyeodae Itneun: atmosphere and seating
The place is genuinely huge! And it's clean and comfortable too. The gap between tables was wide, which made it really pleasant. They've got a good mix of tables too, from 4-seaters up to tables for 6-8 people.
Ppyeodae Itneun menu: full sets to single dishes

The menu ranges from full table sets to single dishes. The set includes haejangguk or gamjatang plus pork skin pyeonyuk, seasoned skate, and marinated crab, so you can enjoy quite a variety! For single dishes there's gamjatang, beef large-intestine bone grill, haejangguk, sundae-ugeoji haejangguk (blood sausage soup with cabbage greens), garlic pork skin pyeonyuk, and jellyfish salad pyeonyuk — good options whether you want drinking food or a full meal.

Self-serve bar add-ins: glass noodles, rice cakes, sujebi, ramyeon
The basic side dishes are kimchi, kkakdugi, chili peppers, onion, and ssamjang. This Gimhae Yulha favorite has everything from side dishes to add-in noodles at its self-serve bar, so you can just grab more of whatever you need.
It's rare to find a self-serve bar this clean that even offers free add-ins — Ppyeodae Itneun's service is genuinely great. The add-ins available are glass noodles, potato, garaetteok, sujebi, and ramyeon noodles.

Small Hanwoo intestine bone grill: how spicy is the spicy version?
The small beef large-intestine bone grill. Since it was just the two of us, we ordered the small size and it was just right. Bone stew seems to be trending lately — apart from the people having haejangguk alone or in pairs, everyone else was eating bone grill.
The bone grill lets you choose spicy or mild, and even though we ordered spicy, it was about as hot as Shin Ramyun? Not that spicy, and since bone grill is meant to have a spicy kick anyway, unless you're really sensitive to spice, I'd say go ahead and order it spicy.

For add-ins in the bone grill we picked glass noodles and garaetteok! The glass noodles were already soaked in water, so they cooked quickly — loved that.

We took out two pieces of bone grill and put the noodles and rice cake in that space, and it fit perfectly. There was plenty of sauce, so no worries about it drying out!

Wow, but is the size of the intestine for real? Seriously bigger than the intestine grill I've had at dedicated intestine grill restaurants... the size is overwhelming.

Ordering the rice pot for a baby (allow 7 minutes)
The rice pot we ordered to feed the baby. The rice pot takes about 7 minutes, so I'd recommend ordering it in advance.

Picking the meat off the bones and dipping it in the sauce was insanely good. The sauce has a sweet base, so it's great, great, great.

Free pyeonyuk for a receipt review, and the garlic sauce that makes it
And when you write a Naver receipt review, they give you pyeonyuk! My husband loves pyeonyuk and ate almost all of it, saying it was the best pyeonyuk he's ever had — this Gimhae Yulha favorite actually makes its pyeonyuk in-house. It's a collagen bomb and perfect as a side dish for drinks. He said the dipping garlic sauce is the real kicker.

Finishing with self-made fried rice at Ppyeodae Itneun
The self-made fried rice we ordered as a meal. I've tried fried rice with gamjatang too, but making it with the bone grill sauce is way tastier! We ate well and had a great time — if you're craving beef large-intestine bone grill, I'd recommend Ppyeodae Itneun.
