Jeonpo, Busan burger restaurant: Mexico Town vs Dufftown & Dancing

In short

Dufftown Burger Jeonpo Main Branch is a handmade burger restaurant in an alley off Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station in Busanjin, Busan. A couple ordered the Dufftown & Dancing (10,100 won, plus 700 won for caramelized onion) and the Mexico Town burger (10,400 won) with whole mozzarella cheese sticks and a set, spending 32,100 won for two, and the spicy-food lover picked Mexico Town as the winner. Dufftown's patties were hefty rather than chewy or dry, and the portions were generous.

Today's post is about a delicious burger place in Jeonpo I went to with my boyfriend — "Dufftown".

Where is Dufftown Burger in Jeonpo, and what are its hours?

Dufftown is located at 25 Seojeon-ro 68beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, in the alley you reach by walking up from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station. The exterior already gives off full handmade-burger-shop vibes.

No break time and no regular closed day (except Chuseok), so the long hours and always-open policy are a huge plus.

Dufftown's menu and what two people ordered for 32,100 won

Dufftown's menu is, naturally, built around handmade burgers, with sides, drinks and beer too. When I went there were 9 burger options, but I hear there are 10 now with a new menu item. The best sellers are the double cheese, Dufftown & Dancing, and patty melt, and the blue cheese arugula was a daily-limited burger.

We picked the Dufftown & Dancing (with caramelized onion added) and the Mexico Town from the burgers, plus a set (fries + drink), an extra drink, and one order of cheese sticks. Total came to ₩32,100!

The interior had this kind of pretty look. I didn't photograph every detail, but the little props are fun to look at one by one — a kind of stylish American feel(?).

What Dufftown's handmade burgers are like

The owner was working alone but the burgers came out super fast. Spoiler: they were amazing. And yes, I always keep my conscience clean by ordering zero-sugar cola.

On the left is the Dufftown & Dancing that my boyfriend picked — that runny egg yolk dripping down looked so pretty and appetizing. I loved that the menu photo matched the real thing exactly, haha.

Dufftown & Dancing, ₩10,100, +₩700 for caramelized onion. It's an egg + cheese + patty combo, and this is the signature burger here. It's so thick that the side of it looks almost like a ball.

Mexico Town burger, ₩10,400. It has jalapeños in it for a slight kick. I love this kind of thing~ Even the smell was savory and sweet, so good.

Sides at Dufftown: whole mozzarella cheese sticks and fries

The side menu — whole mozzarella cheese sticks and fries. *The fries are a half size since it's a drink set. The mozzarella is the one known as "Chili's cheese sticks." I'd wanted to try it since it was trending, and it happened to be on the menu at Dufftown, so I ordered it with excitement.

Things like this need to be eaten hot, so we split it right away. Greasy, savory, with a slight spicy chili aroma... ah, I get why this was all over social media for a while. Honestly if it weren't for my wedding, if it weren't for my diet, I would've ordered another one ㅠㅠㅠ. It's the kind of delicious where you can feel yourself gaining weight in real time ㅠ. It was fried so well that the outside was perfectly crispy, and it had a bit of a Cheetos feel too.

Mexico Town vs Dufftown & Dancing: which burger tasted better?

And now, the main event — the burgers! We thought about splitting them in half to share, but they were so thick I was afraid cutting them would cause a mess, so we just each ate our own, haha.

Mexico Town was the classic delicious handmade burger with jalapeños added. The patty, cheese, and onion made for a rich, deep flavor, and the jalapeños kept it from getting too greasy. Dufftown & Dancing, with the egg, had a savory, clean style — almost brunch-like. Both were great, but for my slightly spicy-leaning palate, Mexico Town wins! That said, I do want to try other menu items next time.

And as you can tell just from that cross-section, the patty was the real deal. It had a good chew without being tough or dry at all — a true meaty bite. It was also thick enough that the portion felt generous. Sometimes handmade burgers taste good but are so flimsy it's like eating cotton candy — not filling at all — but this wasn't one of those, which made me happy, haha. Guess that's what you get in a heavyweight city like Busan.

Is Dufftown Burger worth a second visit?

Anyway, we really ate well and left full and happy. Most of my go-to handmade burger spots are in Seoul, so it was great to discover a delicious one in Busan. I'll definitely be back — it was that good. It's been a while since we went, but my boyfriend still brings up Dufftown, so I think a repeat visit is coming soon.
