Where is Panna Seomyeon Main Branch, and how long is the wait?

Today I went with a friend to the Seomyeon main branch of Panna, a well-known Western-food spot in Jeonpo. It's right in the middle of Jeonpo Cafe Street, so it was super easy to walk to! We went on a Friday evening without a reservation, and there were about 2-3 parties waiting. After about 30 minutes they called us in! The wait wasn't as long as at other places, and once inside, the restaurant was smaller than I expected — the orange lighting, which seems to be Panna's signature color, lit up the interior, and even though it was dim, the vibe was so good it felt like a café.

Snow cheese whole bacon ragu pasta, 16,000 won

Snow cheese whole bacon ragu pasta, ₩16,000. Interestingly, you don't call a server over to order here — instead you write your order on a slip of paper and hand it over, which was great because it let us really think it through before choosing! I ordered the newly launched snow cheese whole bacon rosé ragu pasta, and I was surprised at how big the portion was!! The plating was so pretty too, and the visual with the snow cheese piled on top already looked delicious.

At other restaurants, when you order pasta you often get exactly one serving or even less, so you end up wishing there was more (T_T). But at Panna, the pasta came out at about 1.5 servings, which really surprised me! On top of that, there were big chunks of whole bacon mixed in, which I loved. All the pasta dishes on the menu can be adjusted for spice, choosing Shin Ramyun-level spicy or Buldak-level spicy. Just note that the base level of the pasta dishes is already slightly spicy!

Flavor-wise, it surprisingly leaned more rosé than ragu — I'd say about 30% ragu, 70% rosé. The pasta was thick and rich and so delicious, and I think anyone who likes rosé pasta would enjoy this without any complaints!!

Panna basil gnocchi, 16,000 won: my first taste of gnocchi

Panna basil gnocchi, ₩16,000. I've never had gnocchi before, so this was the dish I decided to try. It came out with the gnocchi generously tossed in basil sauce, and I dug in with high expectations! The Panna basil gnocchi looked and smelled so good!!!!

Trying it myself, the basil flavor and aroma were strong, and the gnocchi was so chewy and delicious! There was also this subtle spicy, smoky spice-like note that kept it from getting monotonous. Looking around to figure out where that flavor came from, I think it was the garlic flakes and jalapeños on top! The combination was so good — this is a basil gnocchi I want to eat again.

Panna's gnocchi is so delicious that next time I definitely want to try the fire chicken (buldak) gnocchi too!!

Panna garden salad, 7,000 won: the side worth adding

Panna garden salad, ₩7,000. I hadn't planned on ordering this at first, but another table got it and it looked so good that I quickly added it too haha! It turned out to be such a great side dish! Really good value, and honestly the salad itself was just so tasty!

Eating the salad alongside the pasta and gnocchi kept things fresh and light so neither dish got tiring or heavy — I could keep eating happily the whole time! I'd fully recommend the Panna garden salad as a side.

Is Panna Seomyeon Main Branch worth it for Western food in Jeonpo?

Panna, this Western-food spot in Jeonpo, had staff who were so kind, prices that were reasonable, food that was so delicious, and an interior that was cozy and clean — altogether a place with real atmosphere. For a Western restaurant, it's genuinely good value, so if you're choosing where to eat Western food in Jeonpo, I think Panna is the best choice. The location is also great, perfect for having lunch at Panna and then heading out to explore! If you're looking for a Western-food restaurant in Jeonpo, I recommend Panna.
