Wrap sandwich takeout in Jungang-dong, Busan: PARENTS Coffee & Salad

On a day I had to run errands in Nampo-dong, I stopped by PARENTS Coffee & Salad in Jungang-dong, a poke bowl favorite, to pack lunch on the way home.

PARENTS Coffee & Salad Jungang-dong Branch is on the 1st floor at 13 Chungjang-daero 9beon-gil, Jung-gu, Busan. Hours are 09:00 - 20:00 with a break time from 14:00 - 16:00, and it's closed Saturdays and Sundays.

A lunch spot near Jungang Station close to Nampo-dong, Busan. PARENTS Coffee & Salad is known among office workers as a great solo-dining spot for healthy salads, poke bowls, burritos and wrap sandwiches, so I stopped by to get some takeout.

Most customers at PARENTS Coffee & Salad Jungang-dong Branch during lunch hour were dining alone. The spacious, comfortable interior felt good both for group get-togethers and for solo meals.

There were seats to wait in after placing a takeout order, so I didn't have to stand around awkwardly — loved that! The menu was so varied I had a slight decision paralysis moment ,,

PARENTS Coffee & Salad, a Jungang-dong lunch favorite — the menu really is this varied .. salads / poke bowls / pasta salads / wraps / burrito sandwiches. There are also drinks like coffee, smoothies and protein shakes, so office workers watching their diet or on a diet plan could eat well here too!

There was a sign in the shop about a 10% discount event for Naver orders, plus a receipt review event.

Summer's three new buckwheat dishes

PARENTS Coffee & Salad seems to keep rolling out seasonal new menus. Their summer new items were yukhoe buckwheat noodle salad, Montreal seasoning flat iron steak poke, and yeolmu buckwheat bibim bowl — three items in all. Summer means buckwheat, chu-beoreop ,,, >.<

Turns out the name PARENTS Salad means "salad made with a parent's heart." So moved .. ❣️ (I'm an F on MBTI, if that explains anything)

Since I've been pregnant and it's hard to go out much, I packed generously to eat over a few days — and the presentation already looked so good ,,

Spicy pork neck & sweet potato mash salad, 12,000 won

It comes with fresh salad and spicy pork neck, along with sweet potato mash salad — while poke bowls come with rice as the carb, the salad has sweet potato mash and naan instead. The staff recommended a dressing for me, oriental dressing, and it went really well. The meat was rolled up neatly ~ ~ Putting the salad greens and sweet potato mousse into the naan made it taste just like a sandwich, so good.

Crispy chicken wrap sandwich 7,900 won vs duck wrap sandwich 6,900 won

These wrap sandwiches are a must-try at PARENTS Coffee & Salad! I picked their best two — smoked duck and chicken wrap. Both were stuffed with vegetables just as fresh as in the salads, with plenty of dressing suited to each main ingredient. Usually when I buy wrap sandwiches, I end up with more leftover tortilla than filling, but here the vegetables, protein and sauce were all packed in generously, and the combination of these three was seriously delicious — I've been recommending this place to everyone around me!!

Chicken breast tenders with garlic mayo, 4,500 won

I was too full to try these all in one sitting, but there were several sauce options to choose from, which was nice, and they reheated them fresh and crispy right there! Good to pair with the salad or eat alongside the wrap sandwiches >.<

Worth a branch in Seomyeon: my verdict on PARENTS Coffee & Salad

I found myself wishing PARENTS Coffee & Salad would open a branch in Seomyeon too. Of all the franchise salads and wrap sandwiches I've tried, this was the best one, so I hope more people find out about this hidden gem.
