As the weather gets chillier I start craving warm broth and suyuk (boiled sliced meat) haha. While looking for lunch near Pangyo Station I ended up at Useum Pangyo Branch!

What we ordered at Useum Pangyo Branch and what it cost
At Useum Pangyo Branch we ordered Korean beef suyuk for ₩43,000 and North Korean-style mandu-guk for ₩13,000. Total for the two of us was ₩56,000.
Inside Useum Pangyo Branch: atmosphere and private rooms
The inside of Useum Pangyo Branch was neatly kept so we could eat comfortably. They also have room seating, which looked good for family gatherings or work dinners haha.
On Sundays they open at 10, so it's great for an early lunch! For peak hours or group meals, I'd say it's safer to make a reservation!!
How were the side dishes?
After a short wait the side dishes came out right away! Every single one was tasty, and the kimchi especially was fresh and delicious haha. Places with good kimchi always seem to cook everything else well too.
They're also running a Naver receipt review event, so don't miss out on that!
I was curious what the name Useum meant, and turns out it comes from the Korean word for 'laughter' haha. A clever and cute name for a restaurant.
The free beef broth served with the Korean beef suyuk
When we ordered the Korean beef suyuk at Useum Pangyo Branch, a complimentary meat broth came along with it! It was warm and nice to sip between bites of suyuk ❤️
How was the 43,000-won Korean beef suyuk?
Then out came today's main dish, a generous plate of Korean beef suyuk!!
The meat wasn't dry at all — it was tender and easy to eat, with no gamy smell and a clean flavor that kept me reaching for more! Dipping each piece in the sauce gave a different vibe each time haha.
Eating it together with the minari (water dropwort) and enoki mushrooms that came alongside added some nice texture too 👍
We even did a little cheers with the beef suyuk and happily dug in.
That red sauce right there is a real highlight. It has a slight chojang (vinegared chili paste) flavor but isn't too tangy!! It went perfectly with the suyuk (^_^)
North Korean-style mandu-guk, 13,000 won
Ordering this alongside the suyuk was great since it gave us something with broth!! The broth wasn't harsh at all, just clean and mild, and with dumplings inside it made for a filling meal. Perfect for chilly weather!

Useum Pangyo Branch had a nice combination going — the fun of eating meat with the suyuk, then finishing off filling and satisfied with the mandu-guk! If you like food that's mild and not too strong-flavored, this place will suit you well haha.
It's close to Pangyo Station, so it's a convenient spot for lunch or dinner plans!
