When the weather turns cool, what's the first dish you crave for hot broth and fresh vegetables? Unlike typical shabu-shabu places where only vegetables get refilled, I found a spot where you can pile on quality beef unlimited too, so I went and checked it out.
Here's my review of Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam, a Wirye favorite where you can enjoy 40-plus fresh ingredients, Vietnamese spring rolls, and a proper dessert finish, all while looking out over an open view.

Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch

What is the dining room like at Dadam Shabu Shabu in Wirye?
Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch is on the 3rd floor of G&G Plaza. Going up and opening the door, I was greeted by a pleasant interior blending wood tones with lush green. It's much bigger and nicer once you're inside than it looks from outside.

Every table has partitions carefully installed, so you can eat comfortably with your group without worrying about people around you. Especially if you sit by the window, you get a full view of the Changgokcheon walking path, which keeps the whole meal feeling open and airy. With spacious sofa-style seating and plenty of kids' chairs on hand, it's also perfect for family outings or group gatherings.
Garak Market vegetables and unlimited beef at the Dadam self-bar
Once you sit down at Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch, you can choose two of three broths — anchovy, seafood, or spicy — split half-and-half at no extra charge. We picked the refreshing seafood broth and the spicy, tangy broth, then headed straight to the self-bar.

The vegetable section was packed with napa cabbage, bok choy, bean sprouts, and various mushrooms (king oyster, oyster, enoki, white wood ear) that the owner said is sourced fresh from Garak Market every day. With meatballs, tofu, fried tofu, rice cakes, and noodles too, the variety rivals a mala tang restaurant.

Next to the wolnamssam (Vietnamese spring roll) corner, there was peanut sauce, chili sauce, a special soy sauce, plus cheongyang peppers and kimchi, all neatly laid out. There are over 40 kinds of fresh vegetables as well as ramyeon noodles ready to go.

In the meat fridge were lean, clean-tasting beef chuck and richly savory beef belly. Usually, even at all-you-can-eat places, beef comes with an extra charge, but here you can pile on as much beef as you like, which is really reassuring.

How to build a full shabu-shabu and wolnamssam (Vietnamese rice paper wrap) meal
Load up the split broth with plenty of vegetables, let them wilt down, then add the thinly sliced beef and dig in.

The clear seafood broth was refreshing and clean without any heaviness, letting the vegetables' natural flavor shine, while the spicy broth had a pleasant kick around the level of Shin Ramyun, pairing perfectly with the rich beef belly. It's great being able to enjoy two broths at once, and you can also refill the broth from the self-bar.
Personally, I was totally into the spicy broth. It's delicious with vegetables and meat, and also great with kalguksu noodles added — the salty edge really suits the Korean palate.

The wolnamssam ingredients were varied too, but since we're a kalguksu-loving family, we made our own noodle dish while patting our full bellies.
They've fully thought it through, even letting you make savory porridge with the leftover broth.

After all that — vegetables, meat, wolnamssam, kalguksu, and porridge — the weekday price is only 17,900 won. And that's not even the end.
Coffee, soft-serve ice cream and affogato after the meal
Next to the self-bar, the dessert corner had a soft-serve ice cream machine and an espresso machine side by side.

Piling ice cream into a bowl and pouring a shot of espresso over it to make a homemade affogato gave a sweet, bittersweet finish that cleared the palate completely — no need to go find a café afterward.

One more cone of ice cream too~ Eating this full still leaves you thinking about it once you're home, right? Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam clearly caught onto that feeling — you can even take the shabu ingredients home.

Just like mala tang, now you can enjoy the taste of Dadam Shabu Shabu at home too.
Is Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch worth it?
For a price in the ten-thousand-won range, you get fresh Garak Market vegetables plus unlimited beef chuck and beef belly — this restaurant genuinely bucks today's rising prices. With comfortable seating and generous 3-hour free parking, it's easy to enjoy a leisurely meal, and being able to take food home for later makes Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam, the Wirye shabu-shabu specialist, even more satisfying.
