While looking for a nice-atmosphere café near Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, I found Minimale Coffee Roaster Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town Branch ☕️ It's not just about coffee — they also make their own bakery items and desserts, so it was a great spot to relax with a coffee.
I was especially curious about the Helsinki Latte, which is a bit different from typical café menus. If you're looking for a café recommendation in Gwacheon, this one's worth a stop :)
What is Minimale in Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town like inside?
Minimale Coffee Roaster Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town Branch has an overall clean, modern atmosphere. Rather than feeling overly decorated, the interior is calm and sophisticated, making it comfortable to spend time over coffee.

The store also has a variety of bakery items to enjoy alongside coffee. As in the photo, there are cookies, scones, salt bread, and cream-filled breads on display, with many items individually packaged, so they seemed good for taking away too. If you're looking for bakery items at a café in Gwacheon, it's fun to pick out coffee and dessert together here.
Minimale roasts its own coffee beans
Minimale sources specialty beans directly and designs its own roast profiles.

For the Americano, you can choose your beans depending on preference: Balance combines Ethiopian acidity with clean sweetness, Dunkel has a heavy body with dark chocolate notes, and decaf lets you enjoy coffee without the caffeine.

The Americano starts at ₩3,600, which felt reasonably affordable considering today's café prices.
The three menu items ordered at Minimale
- Helsinki Latte ₩5,200
- Golden Assam Milk Tea ₩5,200
- Savoiardi Tiramisu ₩7,800
That was our order. Everything came out on one tray, so it looked clean and made for great photos. 🤍

In particular, the Helsinki Latte in the middle had milk and coffee forming layers, which caught my eye visually the moment it arrived.
Helsinki Latte, Minimale's signature drink
One of Minimale's signature menu items, the Helsinki Latte, is a reinterpretation of a latte the owner experienced while traveling in Northern Europe, done in Minimale's own way.
It's a combination of specialty espresso with the nuttiness of milk added, so it's a good pick when you want something different from a regular café latte. It's ₩5,200, and when ordered iced as in the photo, the coffee and milk appear separated in a clear glass, making for a pretty visual. Just mix it well before drinking :)
If you're looking for a good coffee spot in Gwacheon and want to try a signature menu item too, the Helsinki Latte is a great choice.
Golden Assam Milk Tea at Minimale
The other drink we ordered was the Golden Assam Milk Tea. Same price as the Helsinki Latte at ₩5,200! For people who don't drink coffee, there's a wide variety of options too — milk tea, matcha latte, Earl Grey tea, ades, and more.
So it seemed like a good spot for people with different coffee preferences to visit together.
Savoiardi Tiramisu: the dessert to pair with coffee
For dessert, we picked the Savoiardi Tiramisu.

As you can see in the photo, chocolate sponge and cream are layered, topped generously with cocoa powder — it looks every bit like a proper dessert!
It paired really well when eaten alongside the coffee or milk tea. If you find just drinking at a café isn't quite enough, check out the bakery and cake selection too. Minimale has a variety of baked goods including New York cookies, cream scones, and croissants — I'd like to try the cookies next time.
