First-time galette for two at Le Bon Goûter, an Apgujeong brunch café
In short
Le Bon Goûter is a French galette brunch café between Apgujeong Rodeo Station and Dosan Park in Gangnam, Seoul. Two friends eating galette for the first time shared a savory jambon cheese galette at 20,000 won and a dessert banana brûlée galette at 17,000 won, plus two drinks, for 51,000 won total. The thin, mild buckwheat batter turned familiar ingredients into a brunch that tastes nothing like a sandwich or a crepe.

Le Bon Goûter, where familiar brunch ingredients felt refreshingly different

I wanted to try a slightly different kind of brunch with a friend, so we went to Le Bon Goûter. This was my first time having galette, so I was curious what it would taste like — but since we could order both a savory jambon cheese galette and a dessert-style banana brûlée galette, it was great for comparing the two different appeals side by side. It's a good spot if you're looking for a galette restaurant in Apgujeong or want a brunch menu that's a bit different from the usual.

What two people ordered at Le Bon Goûter and what it cost
That day we ordered the jambon cheese galette (₩20,000) and the banana brûlée galette (₩17,000). My friend picked an orange ade, and I ordered an Americano. Including the meal, dessert, and two drinks, the total came to ₩51,000.
Since it was our first galette, we picked one basic savory menu and one sweet dessert menu. It worked well to start brunch with the jambon cheese galette and finish with the banana brûlée galette.

Jambon cheese galette, 20,000 won: how a first galette tastes
The jambon cheese galette is made with a buckwheat galette base topped with jambon (ham), brie cheese, egg, and arugula. With the yolk sitting right in the center, it looked like a proper brunch dish from the start.

It was our first galette, but with familiar ingredients like jambon, cheese, and egg, it was easy to enjoy. The salty jambon, soft egg, and savory cheese came together naturally, and the arugula kept the flavor from feeling too heavy.

It felt familiar like a typical brunch dish, but the thin, light texture unique to the buckwheat galette gave it a different appeal from the sandwiches or crepes I usually eat. Familiar yet different — it was delicious even as my first galette. Wrapping several ingredients together in a bite of galette brought out the salty jambon and soft egg all at once.
Banana brûlée galette, 17,000 won, and its Eiffel Tower chocolate
The banana brûlée galette is a dessert crepe served with banana, Nutella, and vanilla cream.

The Eiffel Tower-shaped chocolate on top of the galette was so cute, and I liked how even the small details were expressed.

With cream on top of the galette plus banana and Nutella, the vibe was clearly different from the savory dish.

The sweetness of the banana combined with rich Nutella, and the cream blended in smoothly. If you like sweet desserts, this is an easy one to enjoy. Sharing it after the jambon cheese galette meant we could finish a full meal, from savory to dessert, in one sitting.
The orange ade was sweet and refreshing, apparently good to sip between bites of galette. My Americano cut through the sweetness of the banana brûlée galette nicely, pairing well with the dessert.
The best galette combination to share between two
It was my first time trying galette, but the familiar ingredients made it an easy place to start, and the buckwheat crepe gave a flavor and texture different from typical brunch. The savory jambon cheese galette and the sweet banana brûlée galette have such different characters that ordering both to share worked out well for two people.
Le Bon Goûter is a good place to remember if you're looking for brunch in Apgujeong Rodeo or want something new instead of the usual pasta or sandwich.
