Isn't the weather perfect these days for a walk along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park? 💛 I've been going there so often lately! It's great for dates, and there's a really delicious handmade burger place that just opened nearby! Let me introduce it to you! 😆

There's a terrace seating area too :) The weather's been so nice lately, eating a burger outside is just... so good.

So that you can enjoy Quokka Bite with your precious dog, they say pets are allowed in the outdoor seating area only!

Event and booking info — they also do private bookings for small gatherings, events, shoots, pop-ups and more, so it's worth contacting the restaurant directly for available hours, headcount, and menu options :)

Plus it's an open kitchen, so you can watch the owner making the burgers~ This is a grilled burger place in Gongdeok, Mapo run by a chef with 10 years of experience who trained at Le Cordon Bleu, known as one of the world's three top culinary schools.

What I really loved was that the restroom is inside the restaurant! So clean, right? Around the Gyeongui Line Forest Park area there are a lot of old buildings where the restroom is usually outside, so this was such a relief...

• 4. Quokka Hot Chicken — a spicy chicken burger based on Nashville hot chicken. A crispy chicken patty coated in bold hot seasoning brings out a spicy, savory flavor — recommended for spicy chicken burger fans!
• 5. Quokka Shrimp — a shrimp burger with a plump whole-shrimp patty, fresh vegetables and Quokka Bite sauce. Crispy outside, moist inside, light yet satisfying

Honest review: Whole Shrimp Quokka Shrimp Burger Set, ₩15,900

Whole Shrimp Quokka Shrimp Burger Set ₩15,900 (+ M fries, choice of zero sugar cider) + free hash browns

I was debating between the single item plus a cider or the set, but since the set was only about a thousand won more, I just went with the set :) It's a whole-shrimp patty (an actual whole shrimp, no less)

But then the owner gave me a fan and hash browns as a free gift... and honestly the portion was already too much for one person, so I was a little surprised to get extras on top... 🫢

Grabbed a few things from the self-serve bar, now let's dig in for real~

I'm a person who hates cucumbers, so getting onion pickles instead was so nice🙂 The onion pickles were sweet and spicy, which paired perfectly! The fries were the plump, chunky potato style! The portion is pretty generous, right?

Looks really good, right? It really is.

Little bits of shrimp packed throughout...🧡 The Quokka Bite sauce was slightly spicy and the onion pickles were tangy, so it never got tiring — I enjoyed it all the way to the end!

By the time I finished the burger I was already too full as an adult woman, so I asked to pack up the fries and the free hash browns to take home! 😅 The owner had such clear principles and evident love for their burgers, which made me like this handmade burger place even more :) If you're in Gongdeok, Mapo looking for a delicious handmade burger, I genuinely recommend Quokka Bite! 💛🧡
