Seoul wine bar open till 3am near Gileum Station: N.G.T's 10 seats
In short
N.G.T is a small 10-seat wine bar on Samyang-ro near Gileum Station in Seongbuk, Seoul. On the owner's recommendation we drank an off-menu American buttery Chardonnay with bulgogi basil pasta and blanched octopus with chamnamul (Korean wild parsley), and the complimentary salad and brownie plus a dish-by-dish explanation from the owner made it feel like tiny fine dining. Open until 3am, N.G.T is a great spot for a late glass of wine in Gileum New Town.

I visited N.G.T, a small new wine bar near Gileum Station. I live near Gileum Station, and honestly most bars around here close after midnight. Finding somewhere with a good vibe for a glass of wine was especially hard — but this time I found a place I really liked.
It wasn't just the wine that was great — the food was delicious too, and the owner personally explained every single menu item, which made it feel like a tiny fine-dining restaurant. Best of all, it's open until 3am, so I'd love to come back next time I want to drink late ❤️
N.G.T near Gileum Station: what the tiny wine bar looks like inside and out

N.G.T isn't a big wine bar — it's a cozy space run solo by the owner. The red neon sign out front makes it easy to spot.

The inside is fully visible from outside, and the lighting is soft with a pretty good atmosphere.

There are only about 10 seats inside, which actually made it feel cozy and quiet rather than noisy — perfect for a quiet date with my boyfriend too!

It's a small place, but the drink selection was surprisingly wide. Beyond wine, the shelf in the back had tons of whiskies, plus spirits like Hwayo. Looks like a great spot for wine lovers and whisky lovers alike.
The off-menu Chardonnay the owner recommended
That day we wanted white wine, so we spent a while poring over the menu.

While we were deliberating, the owner mentioned there was a wine not on the menu and recommended it. It was an American Chardonnay — the bottle literally said 'Buttery Chardonnay,' which already felt like my kind of wine haha. It wasn't the sharp-acidity style; it was smooth, rich, and really buttery, exactly my taste.
Even if you don't know much about wine, it's worth telling the owner your preferences and asking for a recommendation. If you like smooth, full-bodied whites over sharp, acidic ones like me, this Chardonnay is the one to try!

The water color was so pretty too — it's beet water, which gives it that pink tint.
Complimentary salad and bulgogi basil pasta at N.G.T

While we waited for our food, the owner brought out a complimentary salad first. I expected just a light throwaway salad, but it was surprisingly delicious lol.

It had cheese in it, giving it a nutty, rich flavor, and paired with the vegetables it went really well as a wine snack.

Our first dish ordered was the bulgogi basil pasta. Instead of regular spaghetti noodles, they used flat noodles, and the sauce coated them really well — delicious.
It was topped with a generous amount of chopped scallions and an egg yolk in the center, so it looked appetizing from the start.

What I especially loved here: the owner personally explained each dish as it came out!

Rather than just ordering bar snacks and eating them, listening to the explanation for each dish made it feel like a tiny fine-dining experience — like being taken care of, in a good way.

Blanched octopus with chamnamul, our add-on order

I'm the type who gets hungrier the more I drink, so I always need side dishes with alcohol...haha. In the end, we added one more menu item — our second order was chamnamul octopus hoe (parboiled octopus with mineral herb)!
The octopus was piled high with chamnamul (a fragrant herb), and the owner poured hot sauce right on top in front of us — it sizzled on contact, which was fun to watch. Having it finished right in front of us made it feel extra special.

The chewy octopus paired with the fragrant chamnamul went really well as a wine snack, and since we'd just had pasta, having a completely different-style dish made for a nice combo.
A free chocolate brownie to finish

At the end, they even brought out dessert — a chocolate brownie. It was a small piece with a candle stuck in it, which weirdly felt like a celebration haha. The brownie was much fluffier than I expected, not too sweet, and soft — really good.
Is N.G.T worth a late night in Gileum? Final verdict

From the salad to the dessert, they took great care of us with complimentary extras, so even on a first visit I left in a great mood. Above all, having the owner recommend wines and explain each dish made the upscale atmosphere even better.
There aren't many late-night bars near Gileum New Town, but this place is open until 3am, so it's a great option whenever you want a late glass of wine or whisky, even solo. I'm planning to come back soon to try other wines and snacks 😆🩷
