I went to the hair salon because I needed a change of mood for the first time in a while.

My hair had gotten really long, and the damaged ends made it look messy, so I finally couldn't put off a salon visit any longer. I usually prefer layered cuts, but every designer's style is a little different, so I choose a salon carefully. This time, I had my hair done beautifully at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch (오르드비 상왕십리역점), a Sangwangsimni hair salon known for great layered cuts.

I liked that it wasn't far from the subway station, and the sign was visible from a distance, so it was easy to find.

Once inside the building, just keep going straight in the direction you entered, and there it is—Oreudeubi Hair!!

I loved the neat exterior and the white-toned atmosphere from the start.

I had booked in advance through Naver, so after a consultation, we got straight into the appointment.

Hair products were displayed neatly around the salon, and there was also a snack bar with drinks, tea, and snacks to enjoy.

Consulting on damaged ends and drooping fringe

I already had a layered cut, but the layers weren't very pronounced, so it could look like straight hair. Up close, my ends were quite damaged and looked messy ㅠㅠ

Since I mainly use a hair iron for styling, the heat damage seems to have gradually gotten worse. The more damaged your hair is, the sooner you need to care for it, and I think trimming off the damaged parts is the most important first step.

I was looked after by Designer Haru. She carefully asked about my usual hair-care habits and the styling I like before consulting with me. I told her I wanted something natural that wouldn't take much effort to maintain ^.^

Sweet yuzu tea and snacks during the appointment

After the consultation, they brought me a drink and snacks, so I could eat comfortably while having my hair done. You can choose from coffee, tea, and juice. I asked for sweet yuzu tea, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet, with a subtle citron aroma.

There was a nice variety of snacks, too, so I happily nibbled away and relaxed throughout the appointment, haha.

Fringe perm and layered-cut appointment

My fringe usually hangs down limply, which had been bothering me, so I decided to get a fringe perm along with the layered cut. My fringe was curled springily with a heat perm, and I snapped a photo while waiting, haha.

My favorite part was shampoo time..❤️ Designer Haru's thorough, firm-pressure technique made the shampoo feel so refreshing. The shampoo chair was also a massage chair, so the time lying down after the neutralizer was applied was genuinely healing.

It turned out so beautifully, exactly in the style I wanted, so I was truly satisfied. I was happy enough to think I had done really well coming here on a recommendation for a Sangwangsimni hair salon.

They say hair is a language for expressing yourself, not simply styling, and I loved that this style brought out my individuality and gave me a focal point just the way I wanted. (100% willing to revisit)
