Overview of the Lash Doll Munjeong Station salon interior

The director greeted me wearing a gown. She looked just as elegant and warm as in the photo I'd seen when booking.

Inside there were mirrors and a couple of treatment beds. It's a clean, cozy sort of salon.

Why I chose LED human-hair lash extensions at 121,000 won

I went with the LED human-hair lash extensions at Lash Doll for 121,000 won.

Consultation scene for LED human-hair lash extensions

The director first asked about my past lash extension experience. She asked what curl I'd gotten before, and we spent time checking my lashes together. She was thorough and detailed about it.

Checking lash condition before the treatment

When I showed her a photo from a previous extension, she said it looked like a C curl.

C curl for droopy eyes: how it differs from a JC curl

Since my eyes droop slightly, she said a JC curl wouldn't show at all and would actually make my eyes look more droopy. So I went with a C curl instead. I told her I wanted my eyes to look more defined, since they're not naturally very sharp-looking. This was the first time I really understood the difference between a C curl and a JC curl for lash extensions.

What the LED lash extension process is like

Starting LED lash extensions while lying on the treatment bed

Finally, I lay down on the treatment bed and the LED lash extension began.

She was very meticulous, and we talked a lot throughout. When I mentioned that my lashes lasted a long time last time, she said that might be because a lot of glue was used.

Extension treatment done with less glue

The downside is that while more glue makes extensions last longer, when the lashes fall out, your natural lashes can fall out along with them. So today she used less glue for the extensions. It felt reassuring, knowing it was down to her technique.

Detailed design work, lash by lash

She did a thickness mix in areas where the lashes looked sparse, adding slightly thicker bundles of 7 to 8 strands. She didn't do any pre-treatment today — that's normally done if the eye area is oily — since she said her technique meant it wasn't necessary.

LED extension process, attaching each eye carefully

Last time when I had pre-treatment, my eyes stung a bit, so it was nice to skip straight to the extensions today. Apparently LED lash extensions last about 1.5 times longer than glue-based ones. She attached each eye carefully, one at a time. Because it was LED, there was a slightly warm sensation.

The result: how the LED lash extensions looked

Finished LED human-hair lash extensions with C curl

Once it was all done, my eyes didn't hurt and opened up comfortably and easily. I was really happy with how satisfying the result turned out.

I think the C curl was the right choice — my eyes look much more defined.

Eye makeup and cleansing after lash extensions

Receiving aftercare advice following the extension

I asked if I could wear eye makeup after the extensions. She said yes, but advised using foam cleanser or cleansing wipes instead of cleansing oil, since oil can cause the lashes to fall off.

Lash fixer product sold at Lash Doll

I was so grateful that the director shared lash care tips and even a trick for removing eye makeup after extensions. She also told me to apply lash nutrient serum. Lash Doll also sells a lash fixer, so that's worth checking out.
