I've been dyeing my whole head every three months for five years now, keeping up my colored hair pretty diligently haha. Once three months pass, the roots grow out and the color fades, so my hair starts looking messy and I end up dyeing it again. Hahaha.

Honestly I sometimes put it off a day or two because sitting in a salon chair for ages is a hassle 🤣 but I had an important appointment next week that I couldn't push back, so yesterday I finally went and got it dyed!! So here's my piping-hot hair review (lol) let's get into it!

Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch is a 4-minute walk from Exit 4 of Jamsilsaenae Station, so it's easy to find~ The address is 39 Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, 3rd floor.

I happened to have an appointment near Jamsilsaenae, and my patchy hair was overdue for a fix too 🤣 so I asked on the spot whether a same-day booking was possible, and luckily they said yes, so I booked with Designer Q same day and headed over!

Choosing ash brown matte 6 in a one-on-one color chart consultation

At Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch, I had a 1:1 consultation with Designer Q over a color chart before the service. My hair had roots that had grown out quite a lot, and overall it was patchy and way too light.

So this is my hair condition before the dye job 😂 Seeing it photographed in the bright salon lighting made it look even worse, ugh.

I told her I hated how my hair fades into a reddish tint after dyeing, and that I wanted a tone-down color with as little red showing as possible, so she recommended matte 6 among the ash brown shades! It felt great that she picked the color considering both my current hair state and the look I wanted 💕

Inside the massage-chair shampoo room

Before applying the dye, she first sprayed on a cooling scalp protection spray. After putting on ear caps, she applied the dye smoothly section by section!

She also carefully checked in along the way to make sure my scalp wasn't stinging, so I could relax through the whole service haha.

Midway through, the intern asked what I'd like to drink, so I asked for a cold rooibos tea haha. With the cold tea and some little snacks, my mouth was never bored the whole time I was dyeing!

After the dye is fully applied, you wait about 30 minutes~ I sent this photo to my boyfriend and he said... I looked like an alien from another planet^^ lolololol 🤣 (annoying but hilarious... ugh)

Korean head spa touch: scalp and body massage after the rinse

The shampoo room chairs at Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch are massage chairs. After 30 minutes and a color test, they led me to the shampoo room, and the chair was... an actual massage chair, which surprised me 😮

She shampooed with quick, nimble hands 🫧 all bubbly~ lol. After applying dye-removal solution along my hairline, the intern gave me a scalp massage, and her hand technique was amazing 🫶

Especially once the body massage started, I went totally limp lying there, so relaxed 😴 I came in for a dye job but ended up feeling like I got a proper massage too lol. Honestly I was sad to get up after the shampoo was done 🤣 (I wanted to lie there a little longer lol)

Even before drying, right after the shampoo, I already loved the color haha. My face looked brighter too, I think!

Then she dried my hair, which had been like wet seaweed~ She also carefully explained aftercare, saying to make sure my hair is fully dry before wearing anything light-colored for a while! (+treatment is a must)

Once the blow-dry was done, I asked her to take before-and-after photos because I was curious haha.
