Looking for a place in Cheonan where you can have a brunch meetup, take photos, and spend a long time with your kid, all in one spot? There's a place that checks all three boxes: Pino Cafe Cheonan, a huge 3,000-pyeong brunch café right next to Taehaksan Recreation Forest.

Where is Pino Cafe Cheonan, and what are the hours?

Pino Cafe is a large café located at 99-23 Hyuyangnim-gil, Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam, right beside Taehaksan Recreation Forest. It's open every day, no days off, from 10am to 8:30pm.

It's got a spacious garden, photo zones that change with the season, outdoor seating and a big indoor space. All the Western-style dishes here are known to be delicious, so it's famous as one of Cheonan's best Western-food spots too.

Is parking easy at Pino Cafe Cheonan?

Pino Cafe has plenty of parking, so there's no need to worry. A new parking lot is currently being built by the annex, and there's also a second lot off to the side.

Since it's such a large café, easy parking even when it's crowded is a big plus — I always recommend it as a great meetup spot for that reason.

Seating and interior in the main building

The main building at Pino Cafe has a warm, antique interior. There are tables and seats suited to all kinds of group sizes, and it's decorated with flowers and lighting to match each season, so it feels new every time you visit.

There's a big table great for group gatherings, window seats good for eating alone, and an airy space with floor-to-ceiling windows — a nice variety of layouts.

Is the new annex good with a baby?

The newly built annex connects to the space beside the counter. Its interior has a more modern feel than the main building. With plenty of baby chairs ready, it's a good spot to bring your baby to a meetup.

What's on the menu at Pino Cafe Cheonan?

Pino Cafe is known for its half-and-half pizzas, pastas and risottos. I've visited many times and tried a lot of dishes here, and there hasn't been a bad one yet.

There's also a Pino platter, salads and sandwiches good for brunch, plus a bakery menu, so with coffee, tea, ades and dessert you can easily spend a long time here. They also run happy hour — if you visit on a weekday during lunch, you can enjoy a sandwich, salad and coffee at a good value. In summer you can also get mango bingsu (shaved ice) and red bean bingsu.

An honest review of the food we ordered

Bulgogi and pepperoni half-and-half pizza

You get to enjoy two flavors on one pizza. Dipping it in the chipotle sauce brought out even more flavor. The bulgogi side was sweet-savory, and the pepperoni side was salty, so it was fun switching back and forth between the two.

Jalapeño pasta

The jalapeño pasta is an oil pasta made with minced jalapeño and spicy dried chili. It was spicy with just the right seasoning, so I ended up scooping up every last bit. Highly recommended if you love a spicy oil pasta.

Special-sauce kimchi pilaf

The special-sauce kimchi pilaf is a bewitching dish I end up ordering every single time I visit. It's kimchi fried rice topped with scrambled egg and sausage. It's made with basic ingredients, but it's so good that I automatically order it every time.

Garden photo zones: how long do the orange trumpet flowers last?

Going out the back door of the café, there's a terrace area and photo zone. We visited right at the 10am opening, and everyone was so hungry that we cleared the whole table in under 20 minutes before heading out to explore the café, haha.

During the winter Christmas season it was decorated with a pretty tree, but this time it was set up with a cute bear, a yellow-roofed house, and flowers fitting for summer. Since it changes with the seasons, you can get fresh photos every time you visit.

Walk further past the photo zone and a field of trumpet flowers (neungsohwa) opens up. It looks like the orange trumpet flowers should be in bloom through September. With the orange flowers in full bloom, you can't help but take photos. If you visit during the summer season, be sure to snap some pictures here.

How do you use the camp-picnic tent zone?

Further up past the garden at Pino Cafe, there's a space for camp-picnicking. On the wide lawn, there are tents fully equipped with air conditioning and heating.

Once the weather cools down a bit, it's a space where you can spend a long time with your kids, eating good Western food and sipping cool drinks. Camp-picnic reservations can be made through Naver, and right now you can use it for free for 2 hours with a meal — I'd recommend inquiring before your visit.
