Geurimseu Cafe (그림스), a brunch café located in Guryong-dong, Cheonan. It's already known nearby for its great atmosphere and is a popular blind date spot, so here's my review after coming here for brunch :)

What Geurimseu Cafe feels like, surrounded by greenery
A café where the atmosphere blends beautifully with nature — Geurimseu Cafe

What I liked most after arriving at Geurimseu Cafe was the atmosphere around the café itself.
There are so many pretty large cafés these days, but a lot of them only go all out on the interior design. At Geurimseu, though, the trees and plants around the building flow naturally into the outdoor space, which felt really refreshing to look at.

And once I stepped inside, I could see for myself exactly why Geurimseu gets mentioned so often as a blind date or date spot.
Seating at Geurimseu Cafe: uncrowded on weekends, green views through the windows

True to a large café, the seats aren't cramped and the whole space feels roomy, so even with a bit of a weekend crowd, it never feels chaotic. What I liked most was that you can feel nature even inside the café!
Natural light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows blends with the green view outside, so sitting indoors doesn't feel stuffy at all. So many cafés these days focus purely on interior decor, but Geurimseu feels less like it's showing off design and more like the café space naturally flows together with the surrounding nature.
It's the kind of place you want to settle into with a coffee and chat for a while, rather than just a quick stop by ♥
Bakery and drinks at Geurimseu Cafe
As a bakery café, Geurimseu Cafe has a huge bakery lineup — starting with beautifully packaged cookies and chewy cookies, and going on from there.

There's a really wide variety — vegan cookies dogs can eat too, delicious handmade cakes, salt bread, sweet pumpkin rye bread, cream castella bread, walnut bread, and even a green onion cream cheese bagel.

For drinks, there's coffee, lattes, ade, smoothies, teas, and even 3 kinds of bingsu (shaved ice).
Geurimseu Cafe brunch menu and the ₩2,000 drink discount

Since I came for brunch today, I checked out the brunch menu too.
For pizzas, there was chipotle shrimp pizza, diavolo pizza, jambon-beurre pizza, margherita, and gorgonzola pizza; for pasta, there were 9 kinds total — lasagna, Italian ragu pasta, classic pomodoro pasta, seafood tomato pasta, shrimp oil pasta, pollock roe oil pasta, vongole, basil cream pasta, and bacon cream pasta — plus 2 risotto and 2 salad options each.

With any Geurimseu brunch order, choosing an americano, cold brew, or ade gets you an extra ₩2,000 off, and there was a stamp/points event running too. I ordered the chipotle shrimp pizza, coffee, and cream castella bread.
The wide outdoor space and terrace seats at Geurimseu Cafe

After ordering, I walked around, and Geurimseu, this Cheonan brunch café, turned out to have really extensive outdoor space too.

On a nice day, it'd be lovely to eat brunch inside and then take your coffee out with you — and on the flip side, in the slightly cool spring or fall weather, it'd be just as nice to grab a spot on the outdoor terrace and enjoy brunch and coffee right there.
How does the chipotle shrimp pizza taste?
The buzzer went off, and it was time to go pick up my brunch!

The pizza was big enough that, next to the coffee, it felt like it'd make a proper filling meal.

The chipotle shrimp pizza looked like it had been baked in a wood-fired oven, and the plump shrimp, cheese, and chipotle sauce came together really nicely.
Taking a bite, I could taste the shrimp's clean flavor together with the richness of the sauce — perfect for brunch.
And finishing with a sip of coffee cleaned up my palate really nicely.

On a day with blue skies and a cool breeze, sitting on the outdoor terrace, ordering one brunch dish, sipping coffee, and chatting away — that's Geurimseu Cafe, where you can take your time enjoying brunch and coffee surrounded by nature. If you're looking for a Cheonan brunch café where the atmosphere is just as much a part of the experience, this one's worth a visit.
