Fruit mochi box, no wait on a weekday in Gyeongju: Tareudang

I went to a glamping site in Gunwi, Daegu, and stopped by Gyeongju's Hwangnidan-gil on the way back!!! Hwangnidan-gil is always hot~~~ So I figured I had to hit up a Hwangnidan-gil food spot!!! The first place I went!!! I picked up some fruit yogurt mochi / fruit mochi, which are super trendy these days~~~ There are tons of good places, but the one I totally recommend on Hwangnidan-gil is the dessert spot Tareudang ♥

Tareudang sits right in the middle of Hwangnidan-gil in Gyeongju!!! Fresh fruit yogurt mochi is really trending again these days~ fruit tarts, fruit mochi, all totally hot!!! I was so curious about Tareudang~~~ Let's go check it out excitedly!!! Since I visited on a weekday, there was no waiting, which was sooo nice~~~

If you found this spot, you've successfully found Tareudang!!! It's a takeout-only store, so I recommend buying and eating at home or at your accommodation!!! It's also great for gifting, so buying it as a gift set is a totally good idea~~~

Today's available menu was written up like this~~~ 1 mango yogurt, 1 kiwi yogurt, 1 gold kiwi, 1 fresh chocolate. I ordered these four~~ and got them box-packed!!!!

That kind of value for around ₩20,000s!!! They're seriously huge??? The visuals are insane!!!

Got it packed in such a pretty box~~~ I seriously want to eat it right now... ㅠㅠㅠ Now that I've seen the visuals of Tareudang's mochi, I want it even more haha

Haha, I wanted it so badly I peeked inside at the café!!! Whoa~~~~~ the packaging is so cute too!!! It's really great for gifting~~ and totally optimized for takeout!!! I love it so much, seriously~~

Four pieces pack perfectly, so I recommend buying four, putting them in a box, and gifting them to someone — or gifting them to yourself!!! haha

The whole-mango mochi was the biggest

As soon as I got home, I excitedly unboxed everything~~~ the first one I opened was the mango!!! Whoa~~~~~~ the visual is seriously wild, a whole mango inside!! It was the biggest one, haha, so I opened it first~~~

To think there's this much mango packed inside~~~ seriously such a gorgeous visual~~~

Juicy fruit pairs especially well with mochi, so it blends with the yogurt without any heaviness — mango is a must-try for sure!!! The size is overwhelming too!!!

My favorite: peach yogurt

Next up, what could it be~~~~ seriously my absolute favorite, peach!!!!!!!!

The peach yogurt visual is speechless~~~ ugh... it's seriously exactly my type~~~

The cross-section visual is seriously intense right???? I really do love dessert so much~~~ maybe because it's made with domestic sticky rice, the mochi was completely chewy and so, so delicious!!! Pure chewy-cake texture!!!

How to eat fruit mochi cleanly

Cut it up like this and pop it neatly into your mouth in one bite~~ for the soft, mushy fruits, I recommend just munching them straight down~~~ but for fruits like this with firmer flesh that isn't very juicy, cutting them nicely and eating them in one bite is neat and delicious~~~

A note on the fresh chocolate, gold kiwi, and red bean

After polishing off the peach in no time~~~ the fresh chocolate had a whole chunk of real chocolate packed inside — a solid piece of the actual chocolate!!! This is the flavor chocolate maniacs will love the most!!!! The gold kiwi was also bursting with flesh~~~ sweet and soft, so it's a menu item kids would love too!!! The kiwi comes with red bean mixed in, so if you like red bean, it's a recommend, but if you're not a fan haha, try a different flavor instead~~~~~ I enjoyed every single one so much that I totally recommend Tareudang's fruit mochi ♥
