Busan Seomyeon chicken house Aentang Set: Yetnal Tongdak & Tang

Dinner for two at Yetnal Tongdak & Tang in Seomyeon, Busan

This time I went with a friend to Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Seomyeon Branch in Seomyeon, Busan. We were trying to figure out what to eat for a good dinner in Busan and landed on a place where we could enjoy fried chicken and dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken stew) together. I'm a pretty big fried chicken fan, so I was excited to see what we'd order haha. Looking at the menu, the Ddeoksuni Set and the Aentang Set both caught my eye.

Ddeoksuni Set or Aentang Set: which one to order?

The Ddeoksuni Set was boneless fried chicken paired with spicy tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes), and it looked really good too. Fried chicken and tteokbokki together — totally my thing.

But that day I also wanted warm dakdoritang, and I couldn't give up old-style fried chicken either, so we went back and forth for a while. In the end, we chose the Aentang Set, which comes with dakdoritang and half a serving of old-style fried chicken together. Getting two dishes in one order also seemed great for sharing with a friend.

I was even more excited when I found out they use domestic Korean chicken. 🥰 When our Aentang Set arrived, it was finally time to dig in. With the dakdoritang and old-style fried chicken laid out together, the table looked wonderfully full.

The dakdoritang was served piping hot, and I felt like it was such a good pick for dinner. I'd been looking forward to the domestic Korean chicken, and after tasting it, the meat really was tender — genuinely delicious. Sharing it with my friend, chatting away while enjoying good food, made for a really nice time haha.

Half an old-style fried chicken: switching between stew and crispy

As we ate the dakdoritang, my chopsticks naturally started reaching for the old-style fried chicken too. We happily finished off the half serving that came with the Aentang Set as well.

Being able to enjoy whole fried chicken alongside the dakdoritang, not just the stew alone, made the combination really great. Going back and forth between the hot stew and a bite of fried chicken made the meal that much more fun.

It was great for sharing between two people, and a perfect fit for us since we both love fried chicken and dakdoritang. If we'd ordered just one dish, we might have had regrets, but thanks to the Aentang Set we got to enjoy both and left satisfied. 😊 Next time I'm craving fried chicken in Busan, I'd love to come back and try the Ddeoksuni Set too haha.

Is the Aentang Set enough for two people in Seomyeon?

This time my friend and I had the Aentang Set at Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Seomyeon Branch. Getting to enjoy dakdoritang made with tender domestic Korean chicken alongside half a serving of old-style fried chicken made for a really satisfying meal. Sharing good food between the two of us and eating until we were full left us feeling content too. 🥰

This time I went with the Aentang Set, but next time I visit Busan I definitely want to try the Ddeoksuni Set too — the combination of boneless fried chicken and spicy tteokbokki has me curious. If you want to enjoy fried chicken and dakdoritang together in Seomyeon, Busan, this place is worth a visit. It's somewhere I had a great time with a friend over good food, and a spot I think I'll remember on my next trip to Busan. 💗
