In short

Real Toon Comic Café is a comic café and indoor hangout on the 9th floor of Seongsan Tower Plus in the Misa area of Hanam, Gyeonggi. Guests take their shoes off to lounge in private rooms reading comics, play Nintendo Switch, and order tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), ramyeon, fried snacks and rice as a full meal. Real Toon Comic Café is a solid pick when you want to spend a few hours indoors in Misa somewhere other than a regular café.

Sometimes in Misa you want to spend time doing something a bit different than eating and going to a café. This time I visited Real Toon Comic Café in Misa. I expected the old-school comic-room vibe where you just read comics, but once inside the space was surprisingly clean, the private rooms were well set up, and there was even a Nintendo Switch — more to do than I thought.

Where is Real Toon Comic Café in Misa, Hanam?

📍 Location 9th floor, Room 905, Seongsan Tower Plus, 45 Misagangbyeonjungang-ro 204beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. A convenient spot for anyone looking for an indoor date spot in Misa or things to do in Hanam.

How clean are the rooms at Real Toon Comic Café?

The interior was the first thing that caught my eye. Real Toon is decorated all over in black-and-white line art, so it genuinely felt like stepping inside a comic. There were several private rooms too, and you take off your shoes to go in and lounge comfortably while reading comics. Some rooms are split into upper and lower levels, so even during busy hours each group could relax in their own space. It's exactly the kind of atmosphere you'd want on a day you just want to sit quietly and read.

The bookshelves were packed enough to cover a whole wall. From familiar classics to titles kids these days would like, there was enough variety that picking one and sitting down would make time fly.

Real Toon also has a Nintendo Switch. If just reading comics gets a bit boring, you can switch to gaming, which makes it a good spot for friends or couples. For anyone looking for things to do at a comic café in Misa, this is a pretty big plus.

Tteokbokki and ramyeon to eat while you read comics

Free danmuji and rice served as basics

Food laid out on the room's table
Scooping up some tteokbokki

The real charm of a comic café is the food, haha. We ordered tteokbokki, ramyeon, fried snacks, and rice at Real Toon. The tteokbokki came with ramyeon noodles and fish cake mixed in, so it was quite filling, and the ramyeon somehow tasted even better while reading comics. These days some places charge extra for danmuji (pickled radish), but Real Toon gave it to us free, which I liked. With the fried snacks added on top, it was basically a full meal. A lot of comic cafés these days aren't just snack spots anymore — they serve enough food that you could come just to eat — and Real Toon had that same feel.

Eating tteokbokki with a comic book open at the seat

Actually flipping open a comic and eating tteokbokki gave off a bit of that old-school comic-room feel, and it was oddly fun.

Is Real Toon Comic Café a good indoor date spot in Misa?

Partitioned room seating at Real Toon

Real Toon Comic Café felt less like a space just for reading comics and more like an indoor hangout where you can relax, eat, and game. The partitioned rooms let you lean back comfortably and read, and with the Nintendo Switch on hand, even someone who doesn't read comics for long stretches had something to do together.

You can also order food, so it was easy to relax over something simple like tteokbokki or ramyeon. The whole place is bright and clean, so it's the kind of spot that comes to mind when you want indoor things to do in Misa for a few hours. Especially on a day with bad weather or when you don't feel like walking around outside, it's worth trying as an indoor date spot in Misa.

Relaxing in a private room, reading comics, and grabbing tteokbokki or ramyeon when you get hungry — a few hours go by faster than you'd expect. If you're looking for a different kind of date spot in Misa besides a café, add Real Toon Comic Café to your list :)
