20 months after childbirth, why I finally sought out scalp care

At some point I started hating looking in the mirror. Between childbirth and childcare, I think I neglected myself for almost 20 months, using it all as an excuse.

First I filled out a consultation chart. There were quite a lot of items to check — concerns, family history, sleep hours, lifestyle habits — and every box I checked made me wince a little. Why did so many apply to me, haha.

After that I consulted with the director and checked my scalp condition directly with a device. (The before/after photos come later!)

The first thing that stood out was the redness and flaking. Apparently I had a habit of scrubbing my scalp hard while washing my hair to feel refreshed, but since the scalp is skin too, gentle handling matters.

How the combination scalp care went

First came oxygen scaling to clear away dead skin cells and buildup from the scalp. My head felt cool and tingly, genuinely refreshing. I could also get a leg massage at the same time, so just lying there getting treated felt like proper rest.

The best part: the 7-minute shampoo

Personally, my favorite part was the shampoo! The therapist said I might feel cold during it and placed a hot pack on my stomach. I really appreciate this kind of thoughtful touch. (The therapist that day was calm and comforting, which made it even better!)

She shampooed my hair thoroughly for a solid 7 minutes, and it was the most refreshing, most thorough shampoo I've ever had.

After that came root scalp care and color bio therapy, wrapping up the day's treatment.

The combination scalp care itself took about an hour, and with consultation before and after included, it was about 1 hour 20 minutes in total, comfortably.

After the treatment, I looked at the newly taken photos to compare my scalp before and after. It's hard to claim a big change from just one session, but seeing the photos side by side, my scalp clearly looked cleaner.

Best of all, for several days after the treatment I felt less itchy than usual and my scalp stayed feeling clean — that part I really loved.
