Myeonsikdang Keimyung University Branch is a ramen and pork cutlet restaurant on the second floor of the 7-Eleven building across from the east gate of Keimyung University in Dalseo, Daegu. On a Sunday evening with a baby, the writer ordered the two-person set — spicy tonkotsu ramen, handmade pork loin cutlet, fire-flavored mini buta-don and green grape ade — and ate comfortably in a full-length window seat with a baby chair. Weekend evenings are quieter than expected, so Myeonsikdang is an easy choice for a meal with a small child.

Sangol Chueojeong sits 2 minutes from Gochang Seokjeong Hot Spring Spa, so it works well as a restorative meal after a soak.

Arriving around 5pm just as break time ended, the writer ordered kalguksu for two (20,000 won) and a suyuk plate (15,000 won), which came with complimentary barley rice, kimchi and fresh vegetable salad. The clam broth at Daseon Kalguksu tasted clean, the noodles were springy and the pork was moist with no gamey smell, making it a solid lunch or dinner near Suwon Station.
