The shop has an overall hip feel and is kept clean and pleasant. Since it has an open kitchen, you can see straight inside, which makes it a reassuring place to eat.

There is also a sauce bar at one side of the shop, so you can pick sauces to drizzle on according to your taste. There are no fewer than nine choices: Chicago charcoal-grilled, sweet chili, white cream, wasabi mayo, sriracha mayo, chipotle, Diablo Hot, ketchup, and mustard, for lots of different flavor combinations.

With a variety of items including fries made from 100% fresh potatoes, chicken, and mini burgers, you can pack things up yourself for an easy snack at home, too.

Even though it is a fries specialist, Angry Potato is not just about light snacks—it is also a place for a filling, plentiful meal. There are many items, including chicken, burgers, chicken rice bowls, cheese sticks, and potatoes, plus set menus in different combinations for a varied meal.

For a light snack, they also sell potato chips fried from 100% fresh potatoes, just so you know! They contain no chemicals at all, so they are a good snack for kids, too.

We ordered the Deep Squad Party Pack, which comes with five pieces of Hot Crunch Chicken, mini burger skewers, Chili's cheese sticks, fries, chewy potato skewers, mac and cheese, cheddar cheese and ranch tartar sauce, and pickles. Before going to the museum with my child, we said, “Let’s have a light snack before we go!”—but what a substantial spread it was, and we ended up having a satisfying meal.

Order at the counter, then collect your food when your order number is called. Since they fry fresh potatoes to order, it takes around 10 to 15 minutes. The nine sauces are ready to choose from, so drizzle on whatever suits your taste.

The box comes layered with Hot Crunch Chicken, chewy potatoes, Chili's cheese sticks, and fries underneath, while the mini burgers and sauces are prepared separately.

Hot Crunch Chicken is handmade chicken, prepared each morning from 100% chicken thigh meat. Thick chicken with crisp coating is a combination that simply cannot fail. It looked wonderfully crisp straight from the fryer, with no dryness at all, and it was well seasoned right through. My husband and I could not praise the Chili's cheese sticks enough: they are packed with a whole, generous piece of cheese, making them wonderfully nutty and rich. The stretchy cheese fills your mouth with deep cheesy flavor.

The fries are not frozen potatoes; they are made with 100% fresh potatoes and fried as soon as you order, so they are pure crispness. Their crunch makes them perfect with beer. The chewy potatoes are a total must-order: they are crisp outside yet unbelievably chewy within. They have the satisfyingly springy texture of tteok (Korean rice cake). Eat them right away to enjoy that just-fried crispness, or wait a while and their chewiness comes alive, so you get different textures from one menu item.

Angry Potato is generously and thoughtfully put together for the price, making it a great filling meal. It is easy to eat and tasty, too—the kind of flavor that suddenly comes to mind.
