Looking for a light but filling lunch after a workout
You know a mom's stamina matters if she's going to keep taking the kids out and helping them study, right? So I always try to work out after sending the kids off. After exercising, I feel like I should pay a little more attention to what I eat, so I find myself looking for lighter lunch options than I used to.
Today I had something to do near Gangnam Station, so I quickly finished my morning workout and visited Ola Poke Gangnam, a great poke and salad spot near Gangnam Station. Poke has the image of being a light meal, but once you eat it, it is more filling than many other foods, which is why I love it as a proper meal.

Where is Ola Poke Gangnam?
The address is Unit 104, B1, Ssangyong Platinum Value, 46 Teheran-ro 4-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is close to Gangnam Station Exit 4, so it was easy to find by subway.
Once you go into the building, it is on B1 rather than the ground floor, so you can find it right away. While I was there eating, I noticed lots of young office workers too—perhaps because lunch hours have been getting earlier these days.

At lunchtime, some people came to eat alone while others visited in groups of two or three, and delivery orders were constantly going out from one side. Takeaway and delivery are both available, so it looked like a good option for nearby office workers not only to eat in but also to order for lunch.
Is ordering and using the self-service bar easy?
You can order directly from a staff member, but there is also a kiosk on one side for easy ordering. They are currently running a Naver Review event too, giving out a cola when you write a Naver review, so that is nice to know if you visit.

A self-service bar I loved for its rooibos tea
Something I liked more than expected was the water station. Most restaurants only have bottled water ready, but this one had two options: lemon water and warm rooibos tea.
I brought over warm rooibos tea to have with my poke, and they went together surprisingly well. I personally liked being able to sip warm tea now and then while eating a salad poke bowl. I had already been thinking that I should take better care of myself, and having plenty of vegetables and protein with warm tea made it feel like a genuinely healthy meal.

Is the seating comfortable for eating alone near Gangnam Station?
One thing I personally liked was the seating. The restaurant felt roomier than I expected, with separate solo, two-person, and four-person tables, so it had an atmosphere where you could comfortably eat by yourself too.
The solo seats in particular had outlets and even stands for propping up your phone. It may seem like a small thing, but people often look at their phones while eating alone. Seeing those little details prepared made me feel this is a place that really considers people looking for a solo salad meal near Gangnam Station.
Customers kept coming in during lunch, but because poke is the kind of meal that does not take a very long time to eat, turnover was fairly quick.

The Super Protein Poke and Garlic Shrimp Poke combination
The two dishes I ordered were Super Protein Poke and Garlic Shrimp Poke. Super Protein Poke includes salmon, chicken breast, avocado, flying fish roe, and more, and just as its name suggests, it is a great menu choice for getting plenty of protein.
When I first tried it, it was mild and had such a variety of ingredients that it was completely my style. It also had brown rice, vegetables, and ingredients like chickpeas, so one bowl was quite filling.

As I kept eating, though, the salmon and avocado made the latter half feel a little rich. But eating it with the Garlic Shrimp Poke I had ordered was a fantastic combination. The menu has grilled garlic shrimp, so its flavor goes in a different direction from the Super Protein Poke; alternating between the two cut that richness and worked really well.
If two people visit, I would recommend ordering different styles of poke like I did and sharing them.

If you are looking for a light yet filling lunch near Gangnam Station
After visiting myself, Ola Poke Gangnam seemed especially well suited to office workers looking for poke for lunch near Gangnam Station, or people like me who want something to eat after working out. It is close to Exit 4, has seating for solo diners as well as groups, and offers delivery too, so it felt truly convenient.
Most of all, eating only salad can leave you hungry again quickly, but this had brown rice, vegetables, legumes, and a main topping, so it was much more filling than expected—I did not feel hungry at all. If, like me, you have been thinking about managing your diet lately or find a heavy lunch every day a little overwhelming, try a poke salad near Gangnam Station~

Since it was my first visit, I ordered a bowl with lots of different ingredients, but next time I thought I should try one that feels more focused on just one ingredient. Another advantage is that I could have it delivered home after a workout without even going out to Gangnam Station, so I think I will use it often. It would be nice to make it myself, but preparing all the ingredients is a hassle, so I recommend poke as an easy order that lets you look after both your health and your figure.
