Hanam steak restaurant with Han River views: Bokkeriu course for two

It was such a gorgeous weekend and I wanted to get out for some fresh air, so I drove out near Misa Gyeongjeong Park, one of the most famous day-trip spots near Seoul!! Since it was a date, I went looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere and found this Han River view spot — Bokkeriu.

It's tucked right along the Han River in Hanam, so honestly it's perfect for a drive-date course!!

Since its earlier days as 'True Nang,' it's been known as a one-of-a-kind spot to soak in the Han River's laid-back vibe, so the sweeping, all-season river view plus the atmosphere had my excitement through the roof before I even ate haha. If you're hunting for a date restaurant in Hanam, pay attention here!!

Where is Bokkeriu, and what are its hours and parking?

Bokkeriu sits along the Han River at 102-19 Misa-dong-ro, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are 11:30–22:00, closed every Monday.

• Hours: closed Mondays, 11:30–22:00 (break time 15:30–17:30, last order 14:00 and 20:30); weekends/holidays have no break time and café service continues
• Signature menu: Korean beef 1++ striploin steak, pizza, pasta, and more
• Reservations & groups: Naver Reservation available (call for parties of 9+); window seats given first-come; 3rd-floor Han River view room for groups of 8 or more

At the entrance you'll see both the 'True Nang' and 'Bokkeriu' signs together — the place grew out of True Nang, so don't be confused when you walk in haha. It's close to Misa Gyeongjeong Park and the Misa riverside trail, plus near Hanam Starfield, so it's a perfect stop for a date, family gathering, or a midpoint on a drive to Namyangju or Yangpyeong!

The entire wall is one big picture window, so the wide-open Misa riverside and its four-season scenery come into view instantly — an absolute view restaurant!!!

The ceilings are high so there's zero feeling of crowding, and the tables are spaced generously, giving it a real fine-dining feel haha. It's the kind of place that instantly scores points for anniversary dates, family gatherings, or hosting someone special! On the weekend I visited, a lot of families were there too!!

What we ordered at Bokkeriu was the 'STEAK SET FOR TWO.' It comes as a course with bread and soup, a half salad, pasta, a 200g Korean beef striploin steak, dessert, and 2 drinks.

We went with the 'STEAK SET FOR TWO' today to set the mood! The lineup was solid and the value was so satisfying I can't not recommend it haha.

• Pasta (choice of one, +₩4,000 to switch to risotto)
• Steak (200g Korean beef striploin steak)
• Dessert (today's dessert)

First course: sweet corn soup and kelp butter sourdough

After ordering, the bread, soup, and salad came out to open the course! From the very first bite, it was seriously insane haha.

The soup wasn't the artificial kind — it tasted freshly ground in-house, with real kernel texture from sweet corn, and the sweetness and nuttiness really came through! 🌽🌽🌽

The bread comes served with 'kelp butter'! Spreading that salty, umami-packed kelp butter on the chewy sourdough was genuinely so good... the umami combo was incredible!

And the salad, loaded with crunchy nuts, came with soft cream cheese and a tangy dressing — eating it with the crisp vegetables was chef's kiss!! 🥗✨ The freshness of the ingredients really stood out from the very first course haha.

Choosing the shrimp bisque pasta

Out of a long list of options, I picked the 'shrimp bisque pasta' — totally satisfied!! haha I straight up gasped the moment I saw it! There were three whole, plump jumbo shrimp on top!!!! The bite of the springy shrimp meat was insane, and the richly reduced bisque sauce clung perfectly to the noodles — so good!!!! If you love shrimp, I highly recommend this dish!!

Korean beef striploin steak, cooked medium-rare

Finally, the highlight of today's meal! The Korean beef striploin steak arrives!!! At Bokkeriu you can choose your preferred doneness for the steak — we always go with our favorite, 'medium-rare,' as a couple haha.

The moment the knife went in, the juices came pouring out, and it melted the second it hit my mouth haha. Being Korean beef striploin, the flavor was rich, and the sear was perfectly crisp-outside-tender-inside! Eating it with the garnish and sauce that came alongside was pure happiness ㅠㅠ ❤️

The two drinks: plum ade and yellow plum tea

The set includes 2 drinks! One I upgraded to plum ade for an extra ₩2,000, and the other I chose as yellow plum tea!! The plum ade wasn't artificially sweet — it had that bright, fruity sweetness that totally refreshed the palate between steak bites haha. The yellow plum tea was deep and clean too, and the combo between the two while eating was honestly the best!

Last course: cheesecake as the dessert of the day

Once you've properly demolished the steak and pasta, the set's final course, 'today's dessert,' gets plated! Today's dessert was cheesecake!! Enjoying dessert while looking out at the Han River really completed the weekend date vibe haha.

Bokkeriu in one line: is it worth the drive?

Being just outside Seoul, it's an easy, low-pressure drive-and-date destination, and with Misa Gyeongjeong Park or the Misa riverside trail right nearby, it's perfect to follow the meal with a walk! I'd fully recommend it for dates, weekend family gatherings, anniversaries, wine get-togethers, or even important meetings!!!
