Suwon second-round bar with fire chicken cream pasta: Manseokjip

In short

Manseokjip Suwon Station Branch is a private room bar on Rodeo Street by Suwon Station in Gyeonggi, with rooms for 2 to 12 people. Stopping in for a second round after daytime drinking elsewhere, the writer ordered beef brisket and bean sprout stir-fry (16,900 won) and fire chicken cream pasta (16,900 won), both tasty enough to keep picking at on an already full stomach. Manseokjip suits a small gathering or a date that sits privately and drinks until the early hours.

After a long time catching up with friends over daytime drinks, we moved on to Suwon Station and started thinking about somewhere a bit more private, which is how I found Manseokjip Suwon Station Branch. Haku here had already gone in with a full stomach of meat and soju from round one, thinking "let's just drink light snacks this time" — but nope. Every single dish we ordered turned out delicious, and we ended up eating and drinking way more than planned. Here's my honest review of Manseokjip, a bar near Suwon Station.

Beef brisket and bean sprout stir-fry and fire chicken cream pasta, 16,900 won each

A plate with the complimentary chicken-leg snack

Plates came out matched to our party size, along with the complimentary chicken-leg-shaped snack. Honestly, you could finish a whole bottle of soju on that snack alone, haha.

A plate of beef brisket bean sprout stir-fry piled high with brisket

Beef brisket bean sprout stir-fry, ₩16,900. Loaded with brisket and loaded with bean sprouts — the portion was insane. Haku got so excited looking at it that he started holding his chopsticks weirdly, haha.

Picking up bean sprouts and brisket with chopsticks
Crunchy cabbage and bean sprouts in the brisket stir-fry

One bite of crunchy bean sprouts with sweet brisket, another bite of crunchy cabbage and bean sprouts. We were definitely full, but this stir-fry had a magnetic pull that kept our chopsticks moving. You just can't get this taste at home — the bean sprouts stayed so crisp and the brisket was soaked in seasoning. Genuinely delicious.

Fire chicken cream pasta topped with Spam

Fire chicken cream pasta, ₩16,900. Even full, how could we resist fire chicken cream? I ordered the pasta as a way to nurse off the soju from round one.

Manseokjip really is a champion of bar snacks. The spicy, thick sauce met the salty crunch of the Spam topping — an excellent drinking snack. I think I basically inhaled it, haha.

Final verdict: is Manseokjip worth it as a private room bar near Suwon Station?

Looking for a private room bar near Suwon Station? Manseokjip Suwon Station Branch works great as a Suwon date spot, and it's just as good for a private small-group hangout. Every dish we ordered was so good it made us go "wow" without meaning to. If you get the chance, I'd confidently recommend it.
