Weekday brunch café terrace in Pangyo, four dishes: Meolmeol Pangyo

I went for brunch in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo. This dog-friendly Bundang brunch spot has a terrace and a great vibe, plus the space is spacious and clean and the food is delicious, so I really want to recommend it 🙌🏻

📍Meolmeol Pangyo is at 6 Pangyoyeok-ro 2beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are 10:00–18:50, and until 20:50 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Parking at Meolmeol Pangyo in Baekhyeon-dong

At Meolmeol Pangyo you get a 1-hour discount if you use the Baekhyeon-dong public parking lot. If you park on the right side of the store, there's a sign asking you to leave your number, apparently because sometimes cars need to be moved. We didn't use the public lot and just parked on the street nearby. Since we visited a bit after lunchtime, parking was easy, but I think using the public lot would be more convenient during lunch hours.

What Meolmeol Pangyo feels like at 2:30pm on a weekday

Meolmeol Pangyo feels much bigger and has a better atmosphere once you step inside than it looks from outside. We went around 2:30pm to avoid the crowds. Even on a weekday there were a lot of people, and the outdoor terrace was nearly full. Things quieted down a bit around 3pm, but guests kept coming in. There are so many brunch spots in Baekhyeon-dong — let me find out why Meolmeol is so popular, haha.

Is the outdoor terrace at Meolmeol Pangyo dog-friendly?

The outdoor terrace at Meolmeol Pangyo is dog-friendly. I'm not sure whether the indoor area allows dogs too. The weather's been cool lately, which makes it the perfect season to enjoy the outdoor terrace. There's an awning above, plus a playground and trees right nearby, so it's a nice spot to eat outdoors. That day there was such a cute, lovable puppy there — total healing.

There was a two-person table open in the corner, so we grabbed it, but after we ordered, the group at the center table finished up and left, so we moved seats. If you're using the outdoor terrace, you need to let staff know, and they said it was fine to move.

Is Meolmeol Pangyo easy to visit with a baby?

Meolmeol Pangyo has baby chairs and baby tableware well stocked at the self-serve bar! Indoors has a cozy, warm wood-tone interior, and outdoors the chairs are yellow, giving it a bright, cheerful feel. The tables are wide and comfortable, making it easy for people with babies too. If you're looking for a Pangyo brunch spot that's easy to visit with a baby, I'd recommend this one.

To order, you scan a barcode at the table and the menu pops up, so you can order right from your seat. We waited for the food while watching the cute, playful puppy. Both the dog and the owner seemed to have great personalities. They said it was okay to pet the dog, which I really appreciated. Having such a sweet people-loving pup around made this Baekhyeon-dong brunch time even better ^ ^

We meant to order just a little, but somehow ended up with four dishes between two of us 😁

My favorite color is yellow, so I loved the yellow table. We hadn't ordered coffee since we planned to go to a nearby café after brunch, but we ended up too full to go, haha. I figured the portions would be small so we ordered four dishes, but they turned out to be more filling than expected. Still, we finished every last bite — let me review each one.

I love brunch on the terrace on a nice day. With such good weather and such a pretty space, of course we took a photo before finally digging in. I can't imagine how exhausting it must be for guys eating out with their girlfriends... sorry.

Spicy lemon anchovy pasta, 23,000 won

You have to try this at Meolmeol Pangyo. It was labeled the undisputed number-one menu item, and it's spicy yet zesty, topped with plenty of arugula so it's never heavy. The noodles were cooked just right, and the pasta has a slight kick. It kind of tastes like a mix of kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and a delicious pasta? Haha. Honestly we'd only planned to order the lasagna, and I would have really regretted not ordering this. Spicy, tangy, piled with fresh arugula, plus a crunchy texture — this was the first bowl to go completely empty. If you're heading to Pangyo for brunch and want something spicy, highly recommend!!!

Grandma lasagna, 23,000 won

The Grandma Lasagna comes with a big chunk of baguette on the side. What I liked about this Baekhyeon-dong brunch spot is that nothing feels greasy. The lasagna has just a light layer of cheese on top, but is packed with sauce inside. It's a savory-style lasagna, and it doesn't seem tomato-based — more like, hmm, a ragu-sauce feel. Wide noodles inside, layered with cheese and plenty of sauce, and it's delicious that way too. Since there's so much sauce, spreading it on the baguette makes this dish hearty enough on its own.

Raspberry endive salad, 19,000 won

This salad has raspberry Greek yogurt spread thick on the bottom, topped with sweet, fragrant peach and endive with jamón to eat together. This felt like it would also pair well with wine in the evening. The endive was soft and crisp, giving it a great texture, and the yogurt was delicious enough to eat on its own with just a dip of raspberry. The peach had a lovely aroma and was soft (I'm a juicy-peach person, and this hit the spot), plus the salty flavor of the jamón — great as a starter, or light and refreshing like a dessert. We locked eyes the moment we tasted it, both saying it was delicious, haha. We scraped up every bit of the yogurt underneath. Came back practically without needing to do the dishes ourselves.

Truffle baby potato fries, 9,000 won

You can't leave Meolmeol without eating this, haha. The baby potatoes come fried up in big pieces, crispy outside and plump and hearty inside. It's tasty even plain, but the special sauce is the real kicker!!! I won't say much more — just make sure to order this as a side. It was so good we barely took photos before finishing it all. Total recommend for potato lovers. These baby potatoes are so much better than regular fries, don't miss them.

Who should book a table at Meolmeol Pangyo

Meolmeol Pangyo is a great-vibe, great-tasting brunch spot in Baekhyeon-dong. If you're looking for a good Pangyo brunch place with an outdoor terrace, I'd definitely recommend it. Every dish we tried was delicious, and it's a plus that the terrace is dog-friendly. On nice days like these, you can relax outdoors and enjoy the weather; on hot or cold days, you can enjoy pasta, lasagna and more in a cozy indoor setting. If you love al fresco dining and brunch, I highly recommend giving this place a visit.
