Pangyo sushi omakase restaurant with mini kaisendon: Suyori Sikdang
In short
Suyori Sikdang is a Japanese omakase restaurant on the basement level of a building a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Pangyo Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. The 45,000 won lunch course runs 18 dishes, from gamtae seaweed and mushroom porridge to a mini kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) and yuzu sorbet, and the chef spotted that the guest was left-handed and turned each piece of sushi around without being asked. For the price, Suyori Sikdang is a generous, quietly attentive omakase that pleased both the writer and her parents.

A Japanese course-meal restaurant in Bundang, Pangyo — Suyori Sikdang, which I'd recommend for gatherings or dinners with company too.

Where is Suyori Sikdang, and what should you know before going?
Suyori Sikdang is located at 230 Pangyoyeok-ro, B-dong B126, Basement 1F, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are Monday to Saturday 11:40–22:00 (break time 14:30–17:00 / last order 13:40, 21:10), closed on Sundays. Parking is free for 2 hours, the omakase course can be packed to go, corkage is available (paid, ₩30,000 per bottle), private bookings for 8–11 people are possible, and reservations can be made through Catch Table.

Suyori Sikdang is a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Pangyo Station. Lunch runs in two seatings — 1st: 11:40–1:00, 2nd: 1:00–2:20 — and I went for the 2nd seating reservation. Omakase isn't really a category you judge purely on value for money, but for ₩45,000 the course and ingredient variety were so generous that both my parents and I left really satisfied. I tried to document everything thoroughly so there are a lot of photos, but I hope it's useful 🎶
What's on the drinks menu at Suyori Sikdang?

A wide range was on offer, well-suited to Japanese food — sake, sake by the glass, wine, draft beer, highballs, and domestic Korean liquor (soju, beer, Ilpum Jinro).
Inside Suyori Sikdang: seating and atmosphere

The place fits up to 12 people per seating, with an L-shaped bar table arranged so you can see the chef and kitchen from any seat. Black-toned and upscale, but not too dark a mood.
What comes in the 45,000 won lunch course? All 18 dishes
We ordered the Lunch Course (₩45,000) for two. It starts with gamtae mushroom porridge and ends with yuzu sorbet, 18 dishes in total.

First up, the savory ❶ gamtae mushroom porridge (gamtae: dried laver seaweed) that whetted the appetite, followed by softly cooked ❷ abalone with gejang sauce.
❸ Sashimi, plated so beautifully it felt a shame to touch ⁉♥ — we were told to eat in order from white fish, to flounder, sea bream, greater amberjack, then tuna. Each sashimi came with its own matching sauce, so there was no need to dip in soy sauce separately — every bite felt new.

Starting with ❹ flounder, the sushi lineup continued with ❺ red sea bream topped with sumiso (Japanese-style vinegared miso), and ❻ greater amberjack topped with yuzu paste — familiar fish given a special twist that made them feel entirely new .ᐟ.ᐟ

❼ Mini kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) with uni, chopped tuna, and pickled radish was so good wrapped in the seaweed served alongside.

This continued into ❽ herring, ❾ squid, and ❿ young tuna sushi — the herring, which I was trying for the first time, was the most impressive with its nutty flavor.
Counter seats facing the kitchen and the left-handed sushi setting
Watching the dishes come together through the spotless kitchen — every fryer, cutting board, and knife well kept — was part of the fun. The staff kept checking in on the soy sauce and wasabi amounts, and the pace, adjusting as needed ദ്ദി ( ̳• _ • ̳)

⓫ Fried mushroom, freshly fried so it couldn't have been anything but delicious, was stuffed with chopped shrimp inside — it tasted like its own individual dish.

Next came ⓬ otoro, ⓭ cured mackerel nigiri, and ⓮ uni wrapped in gamtae — dishes you don't normally get to enjoy that easily, and just as we started feeling full . .

A giant ⓯ futomaki (thick rolled sushi), followed by a meal-like ⓰ tempura trio (padded pepper, sweet pumpkin, shrimp) and ⓱ mushroom udon. The tempura's texture and color were so neat it looked almost like a food model 🤍 The mushroom udon broth had a slight spicy kick, which paired even better with the tempura.

Already very full, but the refreshing dessert ⓲ yuzu sorbet was a nice light palate cleanser to finish off all 18 courses.
Is Suyori Sikdang worth it for omakase in Pangyo?
The chef noticed early on that I was left-handed and rearranged the sushi placement for me — that's how thoughtful the food and service were!! Reviews from Catch Table and local residents were already good, so I visited with expectations, and the experience matched them 100%. I'd recommend this as a hidden Japanese omakase restaurant in Pangyo.
Written after a visit in September 2026. I'd recommend checking the restaurant's latest notices before visiting.
