Sandwich lunch before a Han River walk in Jamsil: Town Sandwich

I sometimes head out to Jamsil for a walk along the Han River when the weather's nice, and on those days it's great to keep lunch simple haha. So today I want to introduce a sandwich spot I visit pretty often for exactly that.

Where is Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch? Right in front of Rose Shopping Mall

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch sits right in front of Jamsil Rose Shopping Mall (장미상가), so it wasn't hard to find even on my first visit. It's also a convenient spot for office workers nearby to pop into during lunch.

So today let me introduce Town Sandwich, one of my favorite sandwich spots in Jamsil!

Recommended for Jamsil office workers' lunch

Walking into Town Sandwich, the overall vibe is clean and comfortable.

It's not intimidating at all for a light solo meal, and it also works well for meeting a friend or coming with a whole team of coworkers. There are two kiosks — one outside the store, one inside — so ordering is easy.

They especially run set menus during lunch hours, so you don't have to spend a lot of time picking and ordering, which is great for nearby Jamsil office workers with short lunch breaks. It's also close to the Han River in Jamsil, so on nice days you could grab a baguette sandwich to go and head to the river. On days like these when it's great for walking, it's perfect to visit while out on a stroll and grab lunch!

Town Sandwich menu review — Town Sandwich and iced americano from the drink set

Today I ordered the drink set, choosing the Town Sandwich and an iced americano for the sandwich and drink.

The sandwich bread here is baguette, which I love from the texture alone. The outside is really crispy while the inside stays soft and moist when you bite in — exactly that crispy-outside, soft-inside feeling I love! It's a shame I can't fully capture that feeling in photos.

This texture is exactly why I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good baguette in Jamsil. And when I eat a sandwich or burger, I love it when all the fillings come together in one bite. Eating the vegetables, ham, and bread all at once here, the harmony was genuinely delicious. This place seems to nail exactly that.

Sometimes at other places the vegetables look a bit crushed at the edges or slightly wilted, which is disappointing. Here the vegetables are fresh with a good crunchy texture, and the ham is generous too, so the overall combination worked well.

When you bite into the crispy baguette with fresh vegetables and ham all together, none of the flavors overpower each other — they balance out just right. I had the Town Sandwich today, but their jambon-beurre is also delicious, so I'd recommend that too. If you're looking for jambon-beurre in Jamsil, it's worth a try, and if you're visiting with others, you could order different menus and share! And after lunch, you need a coffee, right? Ordering the drink set to get an iced americano alongside is perfect.

The iced americano was quite nutty and paired surprisingly well with the baguette sandwich. Being able to handle sandwich and coffee in one go, I'd recommend it as a lunch option for busy Jamsil office workers!

Overall verdict on jambon-beurre in Jamsil

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is the kind of place that comes to mind when I want a simple but satisfying meal in Jamsil. The baguette is crispy outside and soft inside, the fillings are fresh, and the ham is generous — it really seems like they only use good ingredients, which I love.

It's good for a simple solo meal, for lunch and coffee with coworkers, and clean enough to visit with a friend too. If you're looking for good food in Jamsil, from jambon-beurre to sandwiches, I'd say give Town Sandwich a try~
