Haengdang Market Korean BBQ: 600g pork belly for two at Pujutgan
In short
Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom is a cauldron-lid fresh pork belly restaurant inside Haengdang Market in Seongdong, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Wangsimni Station Exit 10. Two of us ordered 3 servings (600g) of fresh pork belly at 20,000 won per 200g serving, staff grilled all of it at the table, and we finished the unlimited bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles), kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and nurungji (scorched rice tea), with the cold noodle broth brought out slushy with ice on request. The portions and free refills are generous, but what stayed with us at Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom was the care, down to plastic bags and aprons handed over before the meal began.

This time I went to Haengdang Market for some seriously good fresh pork belly, haha. I've been eating a lot of aged pork belly or frozen-thawed belly lately, so I was really craving the real, proper fresh stuff.
The staff grill all the meat for you, and if you order meat matching your headcount you get unlimited naengmyeon (cold noodles), jjigae (stew), guksu (noodle soup), and nurungji (scorched rice tea) on the house!! The food was great, but the staff were so kind that I felt good the whole meal — this is Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom (푸줏간생고기점)!
Where is Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom, and what about parking and hours?
Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom is at 24 Haengdang-ro 17-gil, 1st floor, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, about 314m from Wangsimni Station Exit 10. Hours are Mon–Fri 14:00–24:00, Sat 12:00–24:00, Sun 12:00–22:30, and there's no parking.
🚗 If you're driving, I'd recommend checking the Modoo Parking (모두의주차장) app for nearby lots before you go!

Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom sits inside Haengdang Market! It's about a 5-minute walk from Wangsimni Station Exit 10, so pretty accessible! The exterior already has that cozy, old-school neighborhood BBQ joint vibe, haha. The space in front of the store looked pretty spacious, but Naver's listing says no parking, so keep that in mind if you're driving!

On weekdays it opens at 2pm, Saturdays from noon to midnight, and Sundays from noon to 10:30pm! On weekends you can eat pork belly from daytime..! Basically full daytime-drinking mode, right? Hahaha.

The inside of Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom is huge! With over 100 seats and generous spacing between tables, it's perfect for group meetups or company dinners! Each table has a shiny cauldron lid grill, and just seeing that gets you excited, hahaha. You know that flavor pork belly grilled on a cauldron lid has, right?? Hahaha.

The moment we sat down, staff brought over a plastic bag to store our belongings in (since oil can splatter) and handed us aprons right away! Totally touched ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡ It might seem small, but worrying about oil splashing on your clothes or bag at a BBQ place is kind of a real concern, right?? The staff at Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom took care of us so thoughtfully from the start that the meal got off to a great mood, haha.
Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom menu and how the unlimited refills work

Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom serves both beef and pork, so you can order to suit the occasion or your taste. Plus it's corkage-free, so bringing good wine or whiskey would make it an even better gathering, right? Haha.
- Fresh pork belly ₩20,000 × 3 servings
- Rice ₩1,000
- Drink ₩2,000
Fresh pork belly is a whopping 200g per serving..!! We ordered 3 servings for two people, so 600g of pork belly total.. and we finished it all, hahaha. The portion is a portion, but that's not where it ends!

If you order meat matching your headcount, you get four unlimited free sides: jjigae, naengmyeon, guksu, and nurungji!! And it's truly unlimited. If you order fewer servings than your headcount, only the jjigae stays unlimited, so keep that in mind!
Honestly, if each person eats a serving of meat and then piles on the free sides too, most people will be completely stuffed, hahaha. There were two of us and we ordered 3 servings.. Junsang said the meat was so good he ate 2 servings by himself..! Then we finished off with Venatio (베나치오, a soju cocktail).. This is a place you can't help but overeat at, it's that good, hahaha.
Fresh pork belly grilled on a cauldron lid by the staff

Before the meat arrived, the basic side dishes were set up first. Kimchi, garlic, and lettuce wraps that go well with pork belly were laid out generously. The pink pickled radish is nice and tangy too, and it pairs so well with the meat~
The fresh pork belly made its appearance~! Oh yes. Doesn't the meat look great even before cooking?! These days I eat a lot of aged or frozen-thawed pork belly, but sometimes I really miss that distinct old-school fresh pork belly taste?? Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom nails exactly that!!
Another great thing about Pujutgan — the staff grill all the meat for you (ꈍヮꈍ)ෆ It's kind of a hassle to keep watching the pan while eating meat, but here they grill it perfectly for you so you can just relax and eat, haha.

On one side of the cauldron lid, they add mushrooms, onion, potato, and even kimchi — and oh man, the kimchi and veggies sizzling in the pork fat.. I just can't resist!! Hahaha.
They cut the thick meat into bite-sized pieces and grill it golden brown~ Since they grill it for us, all we have to do is sit tight and wait. For someone like me who hates being busy grilling at a BBQ place, this was a huge plus!
How the 600g of fresh pork belly tasted
Look at how perfectly it's cooked ㅠㅠ The moment I took a bite, I got that exact fresh pork belly flavor I love. It's hard to explain.. but even though the meat is fully cooked, it somehow tastes fresh?! No gamy smell, just that savory fresh-pork-belly aroma, and the juices burst out when you chew!!
It wasn't tough at all but had just the right amount of chewiness, so it was satisfying to eat! Being grilled golden on the cauldron lid seemed to lock in that nutty crust flavor too, haha. It has a different charm from the aged or frozen-thawed pork belly I've had lately, so eating this after a while made it taste even better.

Mixing up combinations was fun too~ Eating a piece of pork belly with the kimchi grilled golden in the pork fat..?? The tangy kimchi cuts through the richness of the pork belly, and it's an endless combo!! We also wrapped some perilla leaves with a little rice, pork belly, and garlic all together for a solid ssam (wrap) too~ Switching up combinations like this, the 3 servings disappeared in no time, hahaha.
Were the unlimited cold noodles, kimchi stew and nurungji any good?
Is this really a free side..? I didn't expect much since it was the free naengmyeon, but the quality was insane, hahaha. We asked for the broth to come along with the bibim naengmyeon too, and it came out perfectly, so happy (ꈍヮꈍ)ෆ
The broth had a strong tangy kick and the noodles were nice and chewy! Sometimes if naengmyeon noodles are boiled wrong they have that distinct off smell, but there was none of that here — the noodles themselves were clean, which I loved!
Bibim naengmyeon with icy slushy broth poured right over it. Looking at it again, it's so good, I want another bowl.. haha. Normally it comes with egg too, but they leave it out when it's hot out! The staff kept checking in to see if we needed anything and kept taking care of us. It's such a kind-hearted BBQ place that once you visit, you can't help but become a regular.

The naengmyeon is delicious on its own, but it's even better with meat~ Eating tangy bibim naengmyeon together with a juicy piece of fresh pork belly is genuinely amazing. Having noodles partway through the meat felt like it reset our palate and brought our appetite right back, hahaha.

Kimchi jjigae, also free~ You can choose between kimchi jjigae and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and we went with kimchi jjigae! The kimchi was nice and tangy, totally Junsang's favorite, hahaha. We were already eating meat with rice, and once the jjigae arrived, more rice kept disappearing.. we fell right into the carb trap, hahaha. And it wasn't just a little kimchi in there for a free side — it was packed with thick chunks of meat and tofu! How is this even a free side ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡
Even stuffed, you can't skip nurungji.. As a nurungji lover, even though I felt like I'd explode, I asked for just a small amount. You can adjust the portion, so if there's something you want, asking for just a little is an option! One warm sip of nurungji and that toasty, savory flavor spread through my mouth! It really felt like it settled my stomach, haha.

Between the juicy, fresh pork belly and the naengmyeon, kimchi jjigae, and nurungji, it really felt like a proper, complete meal! Such a happy meal.. truly..💕
The generous portion of meat and the unlimited naengmyeon, jjigae, guksu, and nurungji were great, of course, but personally what stuck with me more was how genuinely kind the staff were. From offering plastic bags and aprons the moment we sat down, to proactively asking about the free sides, all the little details made the meal even more enjoyable!
Next time I'm on a date in Haengdang-dong and craving pork belly, I'll definitely come back here (ꈍヮꈍ)ෆ If you're looking for a BBQ place in Haengdang Market with thick fresh pork belly and generous free sides, I recommend Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom~! It's great for two, and with such a spacious interior, it'd work well for group meetups or company dinners too, haha.
