Ingye-dong hanwoo grill with free parking and lunch bibimbap: Yeongpo

I've had plenty of frustrating meals in Ingye-dong where there was simply nowhere to park. But this time around, at Yeongpo Hwa-ro, an Ingye-dong hanwoo spot, parking was the first thing that won me over — a big lot right out front, and free. The inside was just as good: private, clean, upscale seating where we got to enjoy really good hanwoo properly.

How to find Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch and where to park

Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch sits just on the left as you walk straight out of Exit 9 at Suwon City Hall Station, so it's very accessible from the station. Hyowon Park is nearby too, so it's perfect for a meal followed by a walk!

Inside Yeongpo Hwa-ro: private partitioned seats and rooms

The chandelier that greeted us right at the entrance made a great first impression — gave off an upscale vibe, I'd say.

Every table is separated like this, so it made for a really private meal!

There's an actual room on one side too, so I could see it being great for Ingye-dong work dinners or family gatherings.

We got seated at this spot toward the back haha ✔️ baby chairs available.

Since we'd made a reservation ahead of time, the table was already fully set — the wide table and the brass dishware definitely added to the upscale feel of this Ingye-dong hanwoo restaurant.

There's a separate lunch special menu too, and I saw plenty of guests who'd come just for the hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap or galbitang at lunchtime.

Yeongpo Hwa-ro's Naver receipt review event was especially worth it — depending on how many people participated, you could get up to a free serving of ₩35,000 aged brisket!!

We ordered the hanwoo assorted platter x2 + hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap (₩111,000) and came home stuffed. I thought 150g each might not be enough, but between the free doenjang sulbap and then the bibimbap on top, we got so full we had to leave some of the bibimbap.

Assorted hanwoo platter for two (300g): the cuts and side dishes

📍Basic side dishes: napa cabbage kimchi, myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves), seasoned bean sprouts, pickled cucumber, salt, wasabi, ssamjang, chili, garlic. The combo of myeongi namul, beef, and wasabi was especially my favorite combination 👍🏻

The hanwoo assorted platter comes with sirloin, chuck flap tail, short rib meat, skirt steak, brisket point, hanging tender, and flat iron — seven cuts total. Padded peppers, sweet pumpkin, and king oyster mushroom came alongside, great for grilling together.

The tables at Yeongpo Hwa-ro in Ingye-dong were really wide, so I could see a bigger group ordering a variety of dishes and still eating comfortably! Every little detail like this made it clear this is an Ingye-dong restaurant built for group gatherings. We definitely got to eat at ease too.

The beef was so fresh and high quality that anyone could have grilled it well,,

It's already good dipped in just salt, but once the richness builds up, wrapping it with myeongi namul cut through it completely.

The doenjang sulbap we got for free was a work of art too.

There's even beef inside the doenjang sulbap, and they just give it to you for free. It wasn't too salty, exactly my taste, and had a nutty, savory flavor. With rice packed in there too, it was really filling!

Hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap, 13,000 won at lunch

The hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap came with galbitang broth and other side dishes. There's a ton of minari (water dropwort) in it, so the minari fragrance is strong — this will be love-it-or-hate-it. I loved it. That minari smell is just so good~~

There's a separate sauce so you can adjust the seasoning as you eat, and the amount of yukhoe (raw beef) piled on top is really generous — for ₩13,000? Why wouldn't you order this.

Lots of vegetables, lots of meat — this bibimbap filled us up in a healthy, satisfying way.

A spacious parking lot, a spacious interior. If you want to eat quality beef in a private, good-atmosphere restaurant, Yeongpo Hwa-ro in Ingye-dong is the place.
