Kid-friendly pork cutlet lunch in Millak-dong: Yangchonri Donkaseu
In short
Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch is a pork cutlet (donkatsu) restaurant in Millak-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. Visiting with her four-year-old son, the writer ordered two sets that each arrived with pork cutlet, udon, bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles) and grilled pork belly, and refilled side dishes and soup as often as she liked at the self-serve bar. The sweet-sauced cutlet was a hit with her son, and the salty udon broth was the best part of the meal.

Lunch in Millak-dong, Uijeongbu at Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch
Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch is a pork cutlet restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building at 196 Omok-ro, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. Since we were already in Uijeongbu for the weekend, we decided to eat lunch, hit up a café, and head home. The weather's gotten cooler and it feels so good~~ I think weekends are just easier when we're out and about all day, haha.
We got moving early this morning so I figured our son would nap right away, but he didn't, which threw me off a little. Still, we headed out happily for lunch~~ Since it had lots of good reviews and, above all, seemed like great value for money, we went to Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch for pork cutlet.
Where do you park at Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch?
You can park in the building's parking lot, and the restaurant supports one hour of parking. The lot was pretty spacious with plenty of spots.

Honestly, easy parking was such a relief!!! You can visit without worrying about parking, haha. The building is big, but the signage was all there so it wasn't hard to find the restaurant. It could get confusing entering the building too, but there was a Yangchonri Donkaseu mark right at the parking lot entrance, so no confusion at all. Nice touch from the owner!!!!

Inside the restaurant: high chairs and dining with a four-year-old
Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch is bigger and more comfortable than I expected. Maybe because it was lunchtime, there were a lot of people. Besides families like us, there were also a lot of couples. And of course, baby chairs were ready ^-^

Hahaha, my son is so cute. He's on a serious troublemaker streak these days, hahaha, can't sit still for a second....^^...hahaha. That day he walked around all day holding the pepper that came with the pork cutlet..hahaha. It was so funny watching him..hahaha. Seriously... he's an unstoppable four-year-old, haha.

What's on the self-serve side dish bar?
At Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch, basic side dishes come out first, and after that you use the self-serve bar. Really basic side dishes like pickled radish and kimchi are ready there. The basic soup is there too, so you can just help yourself to as much as you want!!!

There are lots of à la carte menu options too, but the set menus are so well put together that we ordered a set. The water and doenjang (soybean paste) soup weren't strong-tasting, so kids could probably eat them without any resistance.

The four-item set: pork cutlet, udon, bibim guksu and grilled pork belly
We ordered the set that lets you have pork cutlet, udon, bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles), and grilled pork belly all together. The portions are seriously generous. It's such a great deal since you can try a little of everything at a reasonable price.

The pork cutlet: sweet sauce a child will eat
Our son ate the pork cutlet so well~~! The sauce is sweet, so it seems like something both kids and adults would like without any complaints. Definitely recommend the pork cutlet!!!!

Flame-grilled pork belly in spicy jeyuk sauce
Every dish came out looking clean and neat! This one is the grilled pork belly with spicy sauce, and it's delicious with a strong charred flavor. It's not super spicy though — just the right amount of heat. I'm pretty weak with spice, but it was a delicious kind of spicy, so I kept going back for more.

Udon broth and bibim guksu
Personally, the udon was also really delicious. The udon was the best menu item at Yangchonri Donkaseu!!!!!!! Highly recommend!!!! The broth wasn't too sweet, and by my standards it was a little salty, which was exactly to my taste — and when I mixed some rice into it, our four-year-old son ate it up really well too. Of course the bibim guksu was tasty too, but if I had to pick just one, it's the udon for me ♡
The portions are huge~~~ Enough for three adults to eat.

Two sets for lunch, plus the review-event drink
Our family ordered two set menus and came home stuffed and satisfied. They were also running a review event, so I joined in~~ Got a free drink ♡♡♡
