I was craving gopchang (grilled beef intestine) in Anyang and went looking, which led me to Ilmigop. It's located in the Hansin The Hue commercial building in Bisan-dong, and opened in March 2026 — a clean, tasty gopchang place.

What time to arrive on a weekday evening to get a seat at Ilmigop

I visited Ilmigop around 6:40pm on a weekday, and by about 7:10pm every seat was full. It's not that Anyang lacks gopchang restaurants, but there aren't many that are both clean and genuinely tasty. I found Ilmigop while searching for gopchang restaurants in Bisan-dong recently, so I stopped by after work.

Walking into Ilmigop, it feels much cleaner and more organized than a typical old-school gopchang place. Being newly opened, the tables and interior are spotless and the whole space has a bright feel, making it a good spot for a family meal or a date. There are enough tables for a group, and since reservations are possible, it's easy to visit comfortably.

The restroom is located outside the restaurant, in the shared commercial building corridor.

Ilmigop's menu: why the assorted grill suits a first visit

Ilmigop specializes in grilled beef gopchang. Even in search results, the signature menu is categorized into gopchang and assorted grill, so for a first visit I ordered the assorted grill to try several cuts at once.

This time I ordered the assorted grill for two. I prefer ordering assorted over just one cut, since you get to taste the flavor and texture of each part evenly. And if you make a Naver reservation and arrive before 7pm, you get free beef brisket..!

Gopchang, daechang (large intestine), makchang (rectum), chive salad, liver — such a variety piled up on the plate.. T.T Most of it comes pre-cooked, so you just need to finish it off over medium heat. Just note the daechang needs to be cooked through thoroughly.

It looked like the kind of spread that calls for soju.. but I had to drive so I had water with it^^ Dipped in the sauce that came with it.. so good.. and the portion felt a little bigger than other places, which made me very satisfied!

All of this was free!!! The soft tofu stew wasn't a small size either — it came generously served in a large hot stone pot.. Eating a bit of it whenever the gopchang starts to feel greasy really cuts through the fat~

The free beef brisket also came in a good amount for two people to enjoy alongside the gopchang. I recommend visiting before 7pm! How could this not be delicious!

Is Ilmigop worth it? An honest wrap-up after the meal

I finished the assorted grill for two at Ilmigop down to the last bite. I'd had some bread before visiting, so unfortunately I was too full to try the fried rice — next time I'll make sure to finish that too T.T It's a place that will come to mind again whenever I'm craving gopchang in Anyang.

Above all, being a newly opened restaurant, everything was clean overall and there was no gamy smell, so I enjoyed the meal a lot. Ordering the assorted grill for two let me taste everything at once — the savory flavor of the gopchang, the rich taste of the daechang, and the different textures of each cut. It's also convenient that it's located in the Bisan Hansin The Hue commercial building with parking available, and it's not too far from Bisan-dong from Anyang Station, so I'd recommend it if you're looking for a good gopchang restaurant in Anyang.
