Sinnonhyeon laptop café with first-floor seats: Something About Coffee
In short
Something About Coffee is a large three-floor dessert café near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul. On a weekday at 2:30 pm, first-floor seats at Something About Coffee worked well for a long stretch of laptop work and chatting with a friend over Mont Blanc cheesecake, a strawberry butter scone, an iced americano and a matcha cream choco latte. It's a good Sinnonhyeon Station café when you want roomy seating and a wide dessert showcase in one stop.

Something About Coffee: the café I stop by every time I'm at Sinnonhyeon Station
There's a café I really visit often whenever I have somewhere to be near Sinnonhyeon Station — it's Something About Coffee ☕️🤎
If you've been looking for a pretty café or a good dessert spot near Sinnonhyeon Station, you've probably been here before. It's one of those Sinnonhyeon Station cafés I love enough that it naturally comes to mind whenever I'm in the area haha.

What are the seats like in this three-floor Gangnam café?
Something About Coffee is a large café that actually spans three floors. The first time I visited I was surprised by how big it was — each floor has different seating, and besides the indoor tables there's also an outdoor space, so it's easy to pick a spot depending on the mood you're after.

I visited around 2:30 on a weekday afternoon and there were still so many customers, even on a weekday during the day! Good places are always busy, no matter when you go 🤤🤣

Still, the café itself is spacious with plenty of seating variety, so finding a spot wasn't much of a hassle. My friend and I liked the cozy vibe of the first floor, so that's where we settled in that day.
Overall the space felt clean and full of atmosphere — great for chatting with a friend, and it would work well for a date too. With so many different tables and seats, it was also comfortable for bringing a laptop or personal work to do, just like we did, and taking our time.
How many desserts are in the Something About Coffee showcase?
And you really can't walk past the desserts at Something About Coffee! The moment I went up to order and saw the desserts lined up in the case, an involuntary "wow…" escaped me. Every single one looked so pretty. There were so many kinds that I spent ages deciding what to get.

Honestly I wanted to try one of everything, but I held back and my friend and I agreed to pick just two haha. Looking at all the beautifully arranged desserts felt a bit like walking into a dessert shop out of a fairy tale 🧁✨

What we ordered: strawberry butter scone, Mont Blanc cheesecake, matcha cream choco latte
After much deliberation, the desserts we chose were the strawberry butter scone and the Mont Blanc cheesecake! For drinks, my friend — a real matcha lover — picked the matcha cream choco latte, and since I already had two sweet desserts to get through, I went with a clean iced americano.
When everything arrived together, it looked so pretty that I couldn't not take photos haha.

First, the coffee was nutty and clean, which paired well with the sweet desserts. Americano really is unbeatable alongside dessert ☕️ I was also curious about my friend's matcha cream choco latte and tried it — anyone who likes matcha would probably love this one. My friend is a real matcha lover and kept saying how good it was the whole time, saying she wanted more haha.

How does the Mont Blanc cheesecake taste?
And the one I was most looking forward to — the Mont Blanc cheesecake! It had a dense cheesecake base topped with soft chestnut cream and even a candied chestnut on top, so I'd especially recommend it to chestnut lovers. You get the dense cheesecake and the sweet chestnut flavor together, and the combination worked really well. It wasn't just pretty to look at — the taste held up too, and I kept being impressed while eating it.

How does the strawberry butter scone taste?
The strawberry butter scone was also really good. A flavorful scone with butter and sweet strawberry jam added — every bite had both nutty and sweet notes at once, so my hand kept reaching for more. A sip of americano, a bite of scone — that combination is just the best ❤️
My friend and I each had our own things to work on that day, so we did some work in between and also chatted a lot, spending quite a long time there. With a pretty, comfortable space plus delicious drinks and desserts, it felt like a proper healing session.

Final verdict: who is Something About Coffee best for?
Final thoughts ✨
Around Sinnonhyeon or Gangnam there are so many cafés that it's often hard to decide where to go, but Something About Coffee is a place I like for letting you enjoy spacious seating, varied seats, a pretty atmosphere, and great desserts all at once.
Especially with so many kinds of desserts, I think it would be fun to pick a different one each time you visit. Next time I go, I'm planning to try the other desserts I was torn about but couldn't fit in this time haha.
