Cheese in the Trap burger set with jumbo chicken leg in Suwon: 666

In short

666 Burger Main Branch is a handmade burger restaurant on Maeyeong-ro in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. Eating solo on a weekday afternoon, the writer ordered the Cheese in the Trap burger set with an extra jumbo chicken leg and cheese balls, and loved the stretchy mozzarella patty, soft bun, and foreign-style fries. Window bar seating made solo dining easy, and the verdict was a clear recommend.

I took a day off and went out alone for lunch in Maetan-dong, Suwon, and ended up at 666 Burger, apparently a famous handmade burger spot in Suwon. Here's my review!

Where to park at 666 Burger Main Branch

There's a parking space behind the store, and you can also park at Baekja Apartment, which is what I did. There's no dedicated lot for the shopping strip, so I just parked in an open spot. It being a quiet weekday afternoon, there was plenty of space haha. Since it's near Yeongtong, public transit works well too.

You can order at the counter or the kiosk

666 Burger, this well-known Suwon handmade burger spot, takes up a big chunk of the first floor, so it was easy to find once I put it in my navigation app haha. I stood there a long time staring at the order list, agonizing over what to get. You can order straight at the counter, or use the kiosk on the side wall. After much deliberation, I was craving something rich, so I went with the Cheese in the Trap.

Everything that goes into each burger is listed below the name, which made choosing much easier haha. The set costs in the ₩10,000s, and comes with fries and a drink, so of course I ordered the set and swapped my drink for zero-sugar cola. There are only three drink options: cola, Sprite, and zero-sugar cola. The main menu is varied, but so are the sides, so I took photos of the side menu too.

The side menu lineup

Here's the side menu — from basic fries to buffalo wings, shrimp rings, churros, cheese balls, chicken tenders, and more. Quite the lineup, right? Being a side-dish addict, I also ordered a jumbo chicken leg and cheese balls extra... diet starts tomorrow... doesn't a handmade burger just feel like it won't pack on the pounds as much? Haha.

Window bar seating that's great for solo dining

The place was fairly spacious. There are bar seats along the window that are great for solo dining, plus group tables — and since all the tables line the windows, it feels open and bright, perfect for enjoying the view outside on a nice day like this.

Group table in red and white color scheme

I loved the red-and-white color scheme — it felt distinctive — and the tables have wide spacing, which was my favorite part. It'd make a great date spot too.

Self-serve bar with water, sauces, forks and knives

This is the self-serve bar with water, ketchup, sriracha, and forks and knives — help yourself here. Note that you have to grab your own ketchup haha.

Order pickup call sign

Cheese in the Trap burger set + cheese balls, jumbo chicken leg

When it's ready, they call you up. My Cheese in the Trap burger set, cheese balls, and chicken leg all came out haha. It seemed like a lot for one person, but I eat a lot, so I could finish it all...

Once called, you just go pick it up briskly. The burger was on the large side, and true to a handmade burger, the ingredients were generous and fresh. Lettuce, onion, bacon, beef patty, and plenty of sauce — the first bite already had incredible flavor. The melted mozzarella cheese stretched out so much, it was absolutely delicious.

Fries, jumbo chicken leg, and cheese balls

Who can resist fries fresh out of the fryer? I ordered the chicken leg too, worried I wasn't getting enough protein, and honestly it was better than at most fried chicken places. The skin was thin and crispy, and the juices were unreal. The cheese balls were also light with plenty of stretchy cheese, and the fries genuinely tasted foreign — not the thin franchise-style fries you get in Korea, not wedge-shaped either... I could come back just for these fries. Definitely order the set, no question.

A bun that's delicious even on its own

And the bun is on another level. Not the dry, dense buns you get at a regular franchise burger place — this one's soft and moist. They must be using a good bun. This is the biggest advantage of a handmade burger! A burger where the bread alone is delicious!

Final thoughts

666 Burger, this well-known Suwon handmade burger spot, left me very satisfied. I usually can't even eat alone anywhere except cafés, but I liked this place so much I'm planning to come back. Recommended :)
