Inside, wood tones and white blend together in a cozy, tidy atmosphere that never feels noisy. The tables are spaced generously too, so it was really comfortable to sit down and eat with the family.

What stood out was the individual table-setting system — clean and a bit upscale feeling. Thanks to the neat, charming tableware and lighting, it seemed like a great spot not just for a regular meal but also for a date with some atmosphere.

Meat-loaded rice bowl and chicken mayo rice bowl set: how did the kids react?

To try a few of the signature dishes, we ordered both the meat-loaded rice bowl and the chicken mayo rice bowl set to share. The chicken mayo rice bowl set we picked for the kids got such a good response that they emptied the bowl in no time.

We ordered a good spread so we could try several of the signature menu items.

The meat-loaded rice bowl that arrived first lived up to its name — piled high with meat, it was impressive just to look at. The meat, stir-fried to a golden brown in a special tare sauce, had wonderful flavor, and with a touch of wasabi on top mixed into the rice, it went down light and clean before you even noticed.

The chicken mayo rice bowl set we chose for the kids paired savory mayonnaise sauce with chicken that was crispy outside and juicy inside — a great combination.

Ordering the set meant it came with mini udon and crispy fried sides too, which made the meal feel even more complete.

The balance between salty and sweet was just right, and the kids cleared their bowl in no time.

Karai ramen set vs Western-style pork cutlet: which tasted better?

Hekbap Kkachisan Branch's karai ramen set had a rich, spicy broth as its charm, while the Western-style pork cutlet, piled with demi-glace sauce, delivered a nostalgic flavor. It made for a nice combination — spicy ramen for the adults, pork cutlet for the kids.

Craving a bit of spice, we ordered the karai ramen set, and the rich, spicy broth was truly its highlight.

Deep bone broth mixed with spicy seasoning made for a flavor that wasn't harsh at all but still cleared your head in a satisfying way.

Crispy chicken served with the karai ramen set

The crispy chicken served alongside was the textbook definition of crispy outside, juicy inside — dip it in the sauce and it became a dish on its own.

And the Western-style pork cutlet the whole family shared exceeded expectations, crispy on the outside and filled with juicy meat on the inside.

A generous amount of the classic, moreish special demi-glace sauce was poured on top, giving it that nostalgic taste.

The meat was thick too, so it had a satisfying bite — a pork cutlet dish that everyone from young kids to adults could enjoy.

It had a different charm from Japanese-style katsu, being more of a Western-style cutlet, so we never got tired of it and finished it happily. The crispy, textbook crispy-outside-juicy-inside cutlet made the meal feel even more abundant.
