Hekbap near Kkachisan Station — what about parking?
That day I hadn't had lunch after a fertility clinic appointment, so I stopped by Hekbap Kkachisan Branch, a well-known spot near Kkachisan Station. Unfortunately there's no dedicated parking lot, and the public parking lot was full when we arrived, so we parked a bit awkwardly in the alley behind. You can't park on the street, but since the subway station is right in front, public transit seems like the easier way to get here.

This Kkachisan restaurant is on the 2nd floor. It's not hard to find, but if you can't spot it, just look for the Lotteria.

I'm a total shy introvert, so I absolutely love it when there's a menu posted outside before you go in!!!!! I always pick what I'm ordering before stepping inside, haha. The menu had more variety than I expected.

2pm — the interior vibe and a steady stream of delivery orders
Here's the inside of this Kkachisan restaurant! The seating area was bigger than it looked from outside. The place was clean, and the air conditioning was blasting, haha.
For reference, since we came from the fertility clinic, we arrived a bit past normal lunch hours, around 2pm, and there weren't many dine-in customers — but the delivery orders never stopped!!!! Delivery riders kept coming in and out nonstop. Seems like this Kkachisan restaurant, Hekbap, is already well known among people living nearby, haha.

Menu lineup — you can upgrade to a set
This Kkachisan restaurant serves Japanese food. There was so much variety that I genuinely agonized over what to order. I liked that for some menu items you can pay a little extra to upgrade to a full set. With so much variety, it seems like a great spot for a group with different tastes to eat together!

They had a baby chair inside, and every table had pepper, shichimi, and hair ties. I think they also had wasabi, but we didn't touch that.
Here's what we ordered:
- Meat-loaded rice bowl with fried chicken set
- Spicy ramen with pork cutlet set

The full spread — basic side dishes plus fried rice cake
I liked that the food at this Kkachisan restaurant didn't take long to come out. Everything arrived neatly as a full spread, which looked easy to dig into. Every set comes with the same basic side dishes — diced radish kimchi, pickled radish, and fried rice cake!

The meat-loaded rice bowl set! Just as the name says, it was piled high with meat, and since it's a set, a small udon came along with it too. Plus crispy-looking fried chicken (karaage)!

The spicy ramen I ordered! It came out in a huge bowl, completely full — I was genuinely surprised.

This is the pork cutlet ordered as a set side!!!! We got the spicy pork cutlet, so the sauce came separately.

And here's the full spread once it was all out! For under ₩30,000, it was a genuinely generous table.
How was the meat-loaded rice bowl?
There was pepper and shichimi next to it, and since I thought a little spice would taste good, I sprinkled some on!

By the way, this photo was taken after I'd already eaten a few spoonfuls and then sprinkled it on, haha.
The sauce was slightly sweet, and true to its name, the meat was really generously piled on top of the rice — perfect for scooping up together. The meat wasn't tough at all, it was tender, with a distinctly savory, rich flavor that filled my mouth. It was seasoned just right, which made it pair even better with the rice. Savory, slightly salty meat meeting warm rice! And the texture of the scallions and onions mixed in throughout was excellent too.
I wasn't expecting much from the side udon, but the noodles were nice and springy, and it was great for taking a sip between bites of the rice bowl.
Spicy ramen — thick, rich tonkotsu
Next up, the ramen! I sprinkled pepper on the ramen too — I love pepper, so I just went for it.
I gave it a stir and there was more noodles and toppings packed in than I expected. The bowl was genuinely huge, and it was filled right to the top. Anyone with a big appetite could definitely eat well and leave satisfied at this Kkachisan restaurant!
Before eating the noodles, I tried the broth first. It was really rich and savory. The spice level wasn't strong for someone like me who loves spicy food, but I could really taste that distinct rich, savory tonkotsu flavor, and I loved it — the slight kick of spice also cut through the richness nicely.

There was also a generous amount of toppings inside — char siu, wood ear mushrooms, soft-boiled egg, and more, so I got a bit of topping with every bite of noodles, which I loved.

The noodles were soft. Tonkotsu ramen can sometimes feel too heavy, but this one had a flavor that kept pulling me back in. Lifting the noodles with chopsticks, letting them soak up enough broth, then slurping them down let me enjoy the rich, spicy broth and soft noodles together. The variety of toppings throughout also gave it a diverse texture. This one is recommended for people who love thick, rich broth rather than a light, clear one!!!

Spicy pork cutlet, fried chicken, and fried rice cake
The side spicy pork cutlet, fried chicken (karaage), and fried rice cake were all delicious too. Honestly, karaage is a flavor that can't really go wrong, and the pork cutlet was tasty, but personally I felt the spicy-sour sauce might have paired even better as the basic sauce. Still, it was delicious!
And here's something unexpected! I don't even like rice cakes normally!!!! But the fried rice cake had some kind of condensed milk sauce drizzled on it, and it was a perfect match!!!
My husband and I really, really enjoyed our meal at this Kkachisan restaurant, Hekbap. The menu here is so varied that I think we'll be coming back often. Thanks for the meal!!!
