Seoul yacht tour at 6 pm with snacks: Sailing Paradise
In short
Sailing Paradise is a Han River yacht tour experience in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. My boyfriend and I booked the 6 pm slot, enjoyed wine and snacks, and watched the view shift from daylight to Seoul’s night skyline. Verdict: a memorable choice for a special couple’s date.

My first yacht tour on the Han River in Yeouido

When I want a special date in Seoul, the Han River is one of the first places that comes to mind. This time, my boyfriend and I wanted to make an even more special memory, so we went on Sailing Paradise’s Seoul night-view Han River yacht tour at Yeouido Hangang Park. I’d been on Han River cruise boats a few times, but it was my first yacht tour, so I was incredibly excited even before we set off!

How to find the marina on your first visit
The marina may be a little hard to find if it’s your first visit. Come out of Exit 3 at Yeouinaru Station and keep walking toward Hangang Park, and you’ll see an area with yachts and water-leisure companies. At first, I wondered, “Is this really the right place?” But following the signs, the Sailing Paradise office appeared before long.

After arriving, we filled out a simple boarding declaration. It was just basic information such as our names and contact details, so it wasn’t difficult, and they explained that it was for safety. The staff guided us kindly too, so even first-timers can use it without feeling intimidated.

Wine and snacks on a sailing yacht
The yacht my boyfriend and I boarded was a compact but atmospheric sailing yacht. It looked smaller than expected from afar, but up close it was quite lovely. Its white hull and sails suited the Han River scenery so well.

What I especially loved was that Sailing Paradise had prepared wine and simple snacks as well. They poured wine into our glasses as soon as we boarded, and holding a wineglass with my boyfriend on the Han River really made it feel like an anniversary date.

It felt much more romantic than simply having a drink, because the yacht, Han River, sunset, and wine all came together. And they played romantic music too!!

The snacks were light and easy to enjoy, too. Eating sweet chocolate biscuits and crackers one by one while feeling the breeze made it feel a little like a picnic, and perhaps because we were on the Han River, even ordinary snacks felt more special. The wineglasses and snacks also made the mood come alive in photos, so they were great for couple pictures.

The 6 pm sunset slot was the best move
The part I was happiest with on this yacht tour was definitely our choice of time. We deliberately booked around sunset, and it was truly the best move. We booked for 6 pm! As the sun slowly went down and the sky turned orange, it was so beautiful. The sunset seen from the Han River felt completely different from the view you usually get in the park.

The city’s high-rises, the Han River, and the reddening sky looked like one painting. Especially during the golden hour just before the sun fully set, even casually taken photos came out like life shots.

From daytime Han River views to Seoul’s night skyline
I was also impressed by how completely different the mood was between day and night. When we first set off, the sky was still bright, so the Han River ripples and surrounding buildings were clear to see, with a cool, refreshing feel.

As time passed, the sunset spread out and the sky changed from orange to deep navy—it was so pretty!

Once the sunset passed and darkness began to fall, Seoul’s night view unfolded before us. The lights coming on along the riverbank and the bridge lighting were so beautiful. Seeing from the water the scenery I usually passed by in a car or on the subway felt wonderfully different.

As the yacht cut across the Han River, a cool breeze blew in and it felt as though all my pent-up feelings were instantly released. It was faster than I expected, too, so it was genuinely fun. We could watch other yachts and water-leisure craft pass by, and there was plenty of fun in admiring the riverside night view. Most of all, it was such a relaxed and peaceful time that it was hard to believe we were right in the middle of busy Seoul.

A time to remember as an anniversary couple’s date
These days, we often go on restaurant or café dates, but sometimes you want a different kind of experience, right? I think a Han River yacht tour is a really good choice for those moments. Once I experienced it myself, I could understand why it’s so popular for anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, and couple-date itineraries.

Simply sitting beside my boyfriend, talking as we looked at the sunset and night view, became a special memory. We’re usually so busy that it’s not easy to feel this kind of leisure, but on the Han River, it felt as if time moved more slowly ;) At first, both my boyfriend and I wondered whether a yacht would really be fun, but after going, I understood why so many people recommend Han River yacht tours. I think this date with my boyfriend will stay in my memory for a long time.
