Seongsu bakery café CHD set with Taiwanese mango bingsu: Childish
In short
Childish is a bakery café on the second floor of Yeonmujang-gil in Seongsu, Seoul, known for Taiwanese-style mango bingsu (shaved ice) and signature salted taiyaki (fish-shaped pastry). On a weekend date in Seongsu, two of us ordered the CHD set at 36,000 won, which pairs one mango bingsu with salted taiyaki and an iced americano, and the bingsu was large enough for three or four people to share. For good-value mango bingsu in Seongsu, Childish is worth a visit.

After eating on a weekend Seongsu date, we were craving something sweet, so we headed to Childish, a Seongsu café! It's famous for its mango bingsu, but personally, the thing I really want people to try alongside it is the signature salted taiyaki (fish-shaped bread).
The mango bingsu alone is already a decent size, but they also have a set that bundles in taiyaki and coffee, so it's good for two people sharing dessert! The bingsu portion was seriously bigger than I expected, so if you're looking for good-value mango bingsu in Seongsu, this place is worth a visit.

Where is Childish? A 10-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 3

Why Childish works as a weekend date stop in Seongsu

Childish is on the 2nd floor of the building, and the inside felt more spacious than it looked from outside.

There were several types of seating available, so it was a nice spot to rest and grab dessert during a Seongsu date. We visited on a weekend while exploring Seongsu, and it was perfect for when just coffee after a meal doesn't cut it and you want something sweet.
What the 36,000 won CHD set at Childish includes

- Pizza salted taiyaki ₩5,500
- Mammoth chewy salted taiyaki ₩7,000
- Filipino ube bingsu ₩20,900
- Bulzangnan cream coffee (ice only) ₩6,900
- Yakult slush ₩5,000
Instead of ordering everything separately, we went with the CHD set for ₩36,000.

- Rice flour salted bread ₩2,500
- Jambon beurre salted bread sandwich ₩7,500
The basic salted bread is ₩2,500, and the bite-sized mini salted bread starts at ₩900, so it's easy to grab a few without breaking the bank! There's a good variety of salted breads too, so I thought next time it'd be nice to come just for coffee and bread without the bingsu.

The CHD set we ordered comes with one mango bingsu as the base, plus your choice of salted taiyaki and an iced americano together!
Taiwanese mango bingsu piled with fresh mango, 22,900 won

Seeing the mango bingsu in person, it was seriously huge — great for 3-4 people to share!

Sweet mango syrup was drizzled over the soft shaved ice, which was perfect as a post-meal dessert.

Fresh mango was piled on top without a single gap, and the mango we had that day was well-ripened — soft and sweet, not hard at all.
The salted taiyaki to order at Childish

And another menu item I want to highlight as much as the mango bingsu is Childish's signature salted taiyaki!

The outside was totally crispy and salty, while sweet red bean filled the inside, so the sweet-and-salty combo really came through. The bread part was much crispier than regular taiyaki, and I personally loved eating one in between bites of the mango bingsu.
If you're on a weekend date in Seongsu and want bingsu, coffee, and bakery items all in one place, Childish is especially worth recommending.
