Whenever I crave conveyor-belt sushi, Teukbyeolhan Chobap (특별한 초밥) is the place that naturally comes to mind. I got that craving again this time, and as usual, watching the plates stack up one by one made me weirdly happy. 😊
The main reason I keep coming back is that the sushi ingredients are always fresh, and the owners are so kind.

How much is sushi at Teukbyeolhan Chobap? 1,890 won a plate
Teukbyeolhan Chobap charges a flat ₩1,890 per plate. Freshness of ingredients really matters at a sushi place, and every time I eat here it feels clean and fresh, so it's a place I trust and keep coming back to. The price is also genuinely easy on the wallet.
Given how much a plate of sushi costs these days, being able to pick and choose without much financial burden feels like the biggest perk — I can comfortably choose whatever I feel like eating.
The 11 plates picked at Teukbyeolhan Chobap today
🍣 Picking out everything I wanted to eat, again
This time I picked a wide variety, one type at a time.
Spicy yukhoe (beef tartare) sushi, yukhoe sushi, salmon sushi, seasoned shrimp sushi, shrimp tempura, onion salmon sushi, eel sushi, aged kimchi sushi, soy shrimp sushi, onion salmon roll, and salmon cheese roll!

The charm of conveyor-belt sushi really is watching the plates pass right in front of you and thinking "I want that one too, and that one too..." before finally grabbing one.
I especially love yukhoe sushi, so this time I grabbed both yukhoe sushi and spicy yukhoe sushi first.
🌶️ Spicy yukhoe (beef tartare) sushi
The bright red beef tartare piled generously on top looked delicious just from the sight of it.
The soft texture of the yukhoe combined with the spicy-sweet sauce gives it a different appeal from plain yukhoe sushi.

The savory sauce wakes up your appetite, and it pairs so well with the rice that once you eat one, your hand naturally reaches for another.
🥩 Yukhoe (beef tartare) sushi
One of my particular favorites — yukhoe sushi!

The soft texture of fresh yukhoe goes well with the plain, mild sushi rice. The nutty yet clean flavor unique to yukhoe comes through, and it actually pairs quite well as sushi.
🧡 Salmon sushi and onion salmon sushi
Salmon sushi is a given at any sushi place.
The salmon's color was vivid and the cut nice and thick, looking fresh just at a glance. It was soft to chew, with the nutty, mild flavor unique to salmon, making it good as a base menu item.

And the onion salmon sushi adds onion on top of the salmon for a different flavor. The soft, nutty taste of salmon combined with the crisp, refreshing bite of onion made it feel a bit lighter to enjoy.

This time I also picked the onion salmon roll and salmon cheese roll, and switching between regular sushi and rolls changed up the flow of flavors, which made trying various menu items even more fun.

🍤 Seasoned shrimp sushi and soy-marinated shrimp sushi
If you love shrimp, these are items you don't want to skip.

The seasoned shrimp sushi has the springy texture of shrimp combined with a savory sauce that really pulls in your appetite,

while the soy shrimp sushi has that springy, tender texture unique to shrimp plus a salty savoriness that went well with the rice.
It was fun being able to try slightly different flavors within the shrimp menu items, one at a time.
🐟 Eel sushi and aged kimchi sushi
Eel sushi is a great pick when you're craving something soft and slightly sweet.

When you're eating a lot of sushi, similar flavors can start to blend together, so having something with a bolder taste like eel sushi in between resets your palate — I liked that. And surprisingly delicious: the aged kimchi sushi!

The tangy, refreshing taste of the aged kimchi (mukeunji) went really well with the rice, cutting through any richness. Eating one of these in between the various sushi types felt cleansing, so it was a menu item I kept reaching for.
🍤 Crispy shrimp tempura on the side
It felt like a shame to eat only sushi, so I ordered shrimp tempura too.

As you can see in the photo, the plump shrimp inside the crispy batter looked delicious.

Eating the warm, crispy shrimp tempura alongside the sushi created a whole different combination. Adding one warm dish among the cold sushi made the meal feel much more filling.
🥢 Miso soup and the simple table setup
Warm miso soup comes with the sushi, and sipping a bit of the warm broth in between bites of sushi makes your mouth feel much more comfortable.
Each type of sushi has a different set of ingredients and a colorful look, so there's definitely fun in picking out plates.
What matters most at a conveyor-belt sushi place is being able to eat as much as you want, of whatever you want — and thanks to the low-burden price of ₩1,890, it was easy to taste a little of many things.
💕 Final verdict on Teukbyeolhan Chobap in Yeongtong

Teukbyeolhan Chobap is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving conveyor-belt sushi.
Sushi is only good if the ingredients are fresh above all else, and every time I visit I get to taste clean, fresh sushi, which is satisfying — plus the owners are kind, which makes every meal feel good.
This time again, picking out yukhoe sushi, spicy yukhoe sushi, salmon and onion salmon, seasoned shrimp and soy shrimp sushi, eel, and aged kimchi one by one made for a truly satisfying meal.
I especially love that at ₩1,890 per plate, instead of ordering one big menu item, I can pick a little of many kinds.
Even on days when I'm thinking "I want salmon today, but also yukhoe, but also shrimp..." there's no need to agonize — I just grab a plate of each. 😄
With so many varieties, it's easy to pick according to your taste, and pairing warm dishes like shrimp tempura in between keeps the meal from feeling repetitive.
Above all, it's easy on the wallet, the ingredients are fresh, and the staff are kind — so whenever I'm craving conveyor-belt sushi, this place naturally comes to mind.
On a day like today when I wanted to try a bit of everything, Teukbyeolhan Chobap is the perfect place to start light with one plate of sushi and keep going as much as you like! I'll be back next time I'm craving conveyor-belt sushi, to try the menu items I missed this time. 🍣
