Today I want to introduce Sushi Doku, a sushi restaurant in Songdo that I really enjoyed.

Where is Sushi Doku The Songdo, and what is it like inside?
Sushi Doku The Songdo is on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall, 157 Songdo-gukjedae-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. It's close to the Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, so it's convenient to stop by before or after shopping, and since you can use the building's parking lot, it's also easy to visit by car with kids.

First impressions of a sushi restaurant you can bring kids to
There are lots of sushi restaurants in Songdo, but when visiting with children, what matters isn't just the freshness of the sushi for adults but whether a separate kids' menu is available. That day, my older child and I chose the elegant premium sushi set, while my younger child chose the hearty kids' set, and we all enjoyed a great lunch together.

Walking in, the space feels calmer and more put-together than a typical casual sushi place. It seemed like it would suit a family meal out just as well as a date or a meal with friends.
Sushi Doku The Songdo opening hours
Current hours are listed as daily from 11am to 9pm, with a break time from 3pm to 5pm. Hours and parking conditions can change, so I'd recommend double-checking the store info before you visit.
How long is the weekday lunch wait? About 15 minutes

When we arrived, there were already a lot of diners. We couldn't get seated right away and waited about 15 minutes before being shown to a table. I was worried the wait might be too long with the kids, but thankfully 15 minutes wasn't too rough.
Actually, seeing customers keep steadily coming in during lunch made it clear why Sushi Doku is a popular Songdo restaurant. That said, waits can get longer on weekends or during peak lunch hours, so if you're visiting with kids, I'd suggest timing it around opening or slightly before the usual mealtime.

Honest review of the ₩25,900 premium sushi set

My older child and I ordered the elegant premium sushi set, 10 pieces for ₩25,900. The premium set is a 10-piece sushi course made with a variety of ingredients — flounder, red seabream, salmon, squid, sweet shrimp, akami (lean tuna), red shrimp, snow crab, eel, ankimo (monkfish liver), and more.

The sushi doesn't just arrive right away — the meal starts with a smooth truffle chawanmushi (savory egg custard), followed by side dishes like salad, udon, and tempura, making it a filling full meal.

The sushi felt like it was about balancing rice and fish rather than just piling on a thick cut of fish for size. My older child chose the premium set instead of the kids' set, and tasted each different piece with quite a bit of satisfaction.
The ₩9,900 children's set my younger child chose
My younger child ordered the hearty kids' set for ₩9,900.

When visiting sushi restaurants with kids, it can be tricky figuring out what to order for a child who doesn't eat raw fish well. Since Sushi Doku The Songdo has a separate kids' menu, that worry was taken care of.

Instead of just giving the kid portions from the adult set, my younger child got their own separate set, which made them much happier.
Is Sushi Doku The Songdo worth it for a family meal in Songdo?
Having visited in person, Sushi Doku turned out to be a good place for adults who love sushi and young kids alike to eat together.

The premium sushi set was a great special lunch choice, letting us enjoy sushi with a variety of ingredients plus side dishes all at once, while the kids' set was a practical option for families visiting with young children.

We waited about 15 minutes because it was busy, but eating there made it pretty clear why the wait happens. The variety of sushi and the well-rounded set compositions, plus being able to pick menus that fit each family member's taste, were the biggest advantages. Next time, I'd love to try the fullest set, the deluxe sushi set, with the kids.
